If you wrote a factual based review of your experience, it is what it is and just conveys your thoughts on the time for others to consider.  If you posted a scathing emotionally charged and rude tirade about the lady... that would make you look bad, and have people wondering if your own attitude didn't create the bad session.

I had to write a bad review for a lady because it was a very shitty session.  All my other reviews are 8's 9's and 10's.

Just wanna know if it makes me look stupid?  Or if a lady saw my reviews, then wouldn't see me thinking I would write her a bad one

One bad review that you wrote, IMHO, just makes you look like you didn't do enough research on the lady in question.  If all your other reviews are good, like you said, hopefully, ladies won't not see you because of one review.    I think it will tell them that you will write an honest review, so if their services are questionable, they might not see you.

It's impossible to know in advance how good every session will be. Research can greatly improve your chances, but when two human beings who've never met before get together for sex, there's a chance it can go poorly. IMO, a bit of uncertainty is just fine and only helps to make it exciting.

It does not necessarily mean your research was not up to snuff.  That was my first reaction to your post.  Obviously, it is not the only possibility for your unfortunate encounter.  I'm sure the vast majority of us have had sessions where we just didn't click with the provider, because, as they say, shit happens.

But as others have said also, you did right by letting others know that they might not have a great time with this particular provider.

Lou

Funny, right after I posted that, I realized that it was sort of a kneejerk reaction on my part. Because the bulk of negative reviews I see while scanning TER probably are the result of inadequate research and poor decisions by the reviewer. I was responding from the POV of those of us who do our homework, but in reality we probably account for a minority of the reviews here.

So you were right, Lou, that on first glance a bad review can make it LOOK like you skimped on research. Which only stresses the importance of writing the review in a way that honestly and calmly describes how it went wrong. That way, anyone who is researching you adequately will not count it against you.

Especially given you have written many positive ones.  It means that session did not work out for you.  If you unemotionally describe what was not up to par it should not affect your rep negatively.  The more negative the review, the blander it should read.  Compair the following:

"When she took off her blouse she had 3 tats that did not show in her photos and they were not well done--they broke the mood for me."

vs

"That lieing bitch!  Looking at the tattoos on her I was scared to death that she was going to hit me over the head and rob me the moment I turned my back.  Man I hate women with ink and think they should all be flogged before being tarred and feathered!  I really felt like slashing her tires on my way out the door."

One is likely to be perceived as an accurate description of a low score for looks; the other comes across far less objective and more a personal vendetta.

This saves other hobbyist from seeing her. Every once in a while, you will probably meet a bad provider, even if she have good reviews--who knows why that may be. I had to write two bad reviews because I do not want other hobbyist to experience the drama and poor service of the provider I've seen. It doesn't make you look stupid. Don't worry about your reputation, every1 has bad reviews. Its all part of the game.

Restaurants, schools, business, everything gets reviewed, some good and some bad. Another thing, don't ignore writing a bad review, cause if you do, other hobbyist will have to pay for your negligence.

Reportedly, some providers refuse to see TER members who have posted bad reviews. Consequently, some reviewers say they hold off on posting anything negative (or worse, post positive reviews for shitty sessions) for fear it will hurt their chances of seeing these so-called selective providers.

But really, why would anyone want to see a provider who manipulates her own reviews? If it makes you "look bad", IMO that's a good thing if it wards off out prima donnas whose reputation is so counterfeit.

You've done yourself a giant favor IMO

Not to mention the even bigger favor you are doing your fellow hobbyists by warning them about a sub par provider. If she doesn't like it, tough. She should step up her game.

I've written a few bad reviews. I write a detailed review and explain exactly what happened and why I gave the score for the date.  The purpose of this site is to help hobbyist avoid providers who don't deliver the goods. If you don't write the review, no one will know. Don't worry about her reaction, the review is for your fellow mongers, not her. And remember you can always write an alias review if need be, but there's more weight behind using your real ter handle.

"All my other reviews are 8's 9's and 10's" why are you posting on the newbie board?

That's why I allowed it here, instead of moving it.  It deals with writing an honest review, something everyone, especially those new to the hobby, should be aware of.  Guys that have been around here a long time, already know this.

Your bad review, if supported with enough details as to why you felt that way should not be a problem. If you back up your statements with details then we have enough information to decide if it is important to us or not. You would only look stupid, as an example, if every other reviewer said she only gave CBJ and then you gave a bad review for CBJ. But if she showed up drunk for a session and this is a first time that is a fair warning that the same thing could happen in the future to someone else. Same thing for other providers if they see a bad review with honest reasons then they should not have any problems with an honest reviewer. If they do you may not want to see them anyway.

If you wrote a factual based review of your experience, it is what it is and just conveys your thoughts on the time for others to consider.  If you posted a scathing emotionally charged and rude tirade about the lady... that would make you look bad, and have people wondering if your own attitude didn't create the bad session.

I struggled and even posted my experience here for the community . Most said write a review .
I then took their advice after a few days of chewing on it and I did post the review . Did I WANT to ? Abosolutly NOT !
Not one thing in it is dishonest in any way - that was VERY important in my decision ! I am affecting someones life and livelyhodd - not to be taken lightly !
Personally I would have drinks with her any day of the week.
This was , and is , a buisness transaction / encounter , plain and simple. This was my hard earned dollars and yours - no brainer , had to be done .
That being said and read my review if you wish ...................This newbie can't wait to have an experience as I see others have had ,. the review and experience are just part of the search my friend .
