Apparently those cards haven't worked for a long time. There are many posts on this board about that. All the folks who have used trustcash and reported back here, reported how simple it was. Not sure why you find it a hassle. Maybe you should look into it again.

If you won't use your personal cc, and you refuse to use trustcash, and all the prepaid cards don't work, I think you are out of options. (unless you want to file lots of problem reports)

Yes greendot works and you do have to register it in your name.

And don't use your personal bank cards or credit cards because they have certain vendors flagged and they will lock your account as a potential security issue until you confirm the charge is ok.  

It's very convenient to keep a green dot just for escort ads et cetera.  Once you put money on it, DO NOT withdraw it because they will think you are money laundering and they will close your account.
