My understanding now from several posts is that on p411, providers not only "OKays" the hobbyists but can actually fill in a multiple choice "rating" with something similar to the following (just a guess, it this fairly accurate?)

1) highly recommend
2) recommend
3) barely recommend
4) do not recommend

Are there areas to provide further comments?  Just wondering...

I have never seen that on P411. Just the Ok portion and then you can message the provider directly to verify their ok if you like. I'm now wondering if I'm missing the 1...2....3.... you mentioned. If it's there I've never noticed it before.

You are thinking of Date-Check, they have the different types of choices.

On P411 all you can do is OK the man or choose not to. There are no other variables that I've found.

That would pressure the providers to write glowing things about almost every guy they see, fearful of hurting business otherwise.  That in turn would defeat the purpose of the approvals.

Some providers have told me what they have said, most have not.  I've never asked because whatever they have written is good enough to get me approved with hthe next lady and that is what I care about.

99% of the time there is no written text.

You just have a choice of different links (highly recommend, recommend, recommend but YMMV, I do not recommend, have not seen this man and can not approve, NCNS.

The only time I have seen writen text is if the man is dangerous then you submit something to staff and they will post your text in his file for the ladies to see.

I understand the reasoning, of course, just wondered if we could see it.  I don't see why I would have a "bad" rating on there so I don't suppose it affects me.  Would be kind of neat to see an aggregate rating or something, though.

Beginning to question the value of maintaining an account on P411.  So far, 3 out of 4 attempts to contact providers have failed.  Most ask for references in addition to those listed on the site.  The most recent did not honor the P-411 references indicating they were 4 years old.  Cannot see how this matters... Seems to me a provider reference is just that.  And membership to a site like P-411 should eliminate the need to give additional references...Strange! The rating thing was born of abuse of the system.

Having a recent reference is sometimes a must for many escorts. I wouldn't want just 4 year old references since men often change.

Case in point: years ago I had a fabulous client who was absolutely golden. I would have given him a glowing reference any time he wanted.

Fast forward to a few years later - I don't know what the F happened to him but he started pulling no shows AND ripping girls off by shorting the envelope and then simply leaving an empty envelope. He is now on many national and personal blacklists. If someone took my OK from years ago they would have been lead astray thinking he was still a good client.

P411 is helpful but not always taken only at face value. Many will ask for more than just the P411. I know it can be frustrating, but much about life is :)

4 yrs is a very long time in this business.  Would you see a provider with no reviews in the past 4 years?

I suspect you'd find that with newer refs P411 would work just fine.  I've had essentially no problems and rarely have I been asked for additional refs.
