Potentially silly question (which is why I posted in newbie board), but I noticed today that my P411 page was added to my list of ad sites on my TER page. I do not recall ever sending a notice or anything that I advertized there (even though I do). So what I am trying to figure out is how does TER find this information? Do people submit it or does TER secretly stalk my online presence and ad the links themselves..

I dont mind too much, I just find it.....slightly creepy. Also, If its people adding the links then Id really like to know because then thous are sites Id like to focus on. (Girl Directory, for example has provided me with zero hits that Ive seen but if someone is looking there then I will reconsider it)

Someone probably submitted a problem report to add it to your profile.

changes are made by TER staff after somebody submits a problem report.

As everyone above answered, your web ads can be added by any TER member through a problem report submission. You can also submit a problem report on yourself. It's an easy way to get 2 free VIP days, and one of the simplest problem reports is a website change. (Deleting inactive ads, and/or adding new active add). I have submitted hundreds of problem reports, and the majority of them were for internet ad links.

However, I will add that a provider does have control over her profile, and you can inform TER (through a "contact us" feedback, or by email) if you do not want a particular ad listed on your profile. This will flag your profile to admin and when anyone submits a problem report to ad that particular site, they will not approve the ad on. No reason to do this with P411 as that is a good site to have on your profile.
