I've been on TER since January and am still a newbie with only 5 reviews (all are good, 7 and above). Then out of nowhere I got a 1/3 from someone I've never met- don't recognize the handle, and the review describes things I've never done. The whole thing got me really stressed out, and I would appreciate any advice on how to handle it.

Here is what I've done already:
-Contacted TER support and explained the situation
-Emailed the reviewer asking who he is and why he did it
-Asked a couple of my regulars who never reviewed me to give me honest reviews

Is there anything else I should do? When I post an ad in my regional board, would it be a good idea to include an addendum saying something like "my last review is fake, and I'm currently disputing it. If you wish, I can provide you with references you can call to verify I have a real history of client satisfaction"?
Lastly, if you are a gentleman, how much does one negative review matter to you if the other five are great?

Thank you all for your time!

than the provider.  He may have been dirty, smelly, rude, rough or pushy and thus got a poor performance - I look at the majority, with greater credence given to established reviewers.

I had a guy get drunk and try to force me to do things I wont do and then say he was going to review me.  I immediately contacted TER and let them know I had a bad session and the guy was planning on a bad review because I wouldn't give in to him.  They told me they marked my account and to let them know if the guy posted a review - so far he hasn't.

Anyway, aside from contacting TER and explaining that you never met the guy there's not much else you can do.  Hopefully they will pull the review.

I dont have VIP so I cant tell how many reviews this guy has written and if they are all bad reviews or what.  (I think some guys get their jollies writing fake reviews just to mess with us).

Maybe someone with VIP can check it out and let you know their take on the reviewer.

Thanks for your insight, Naomi! I don't have VIP either but am considering getting it just to see what kind of reviewer that person is... It is hard to believe some guys actually have nothing better to do than write fake reviews!

posted by a questionable reviewer won't stop an experienced gentleman from seeing an otherwise well reviewed lady.

What I see looking at your profile is that you have two 7/8 reviews, two 8/8 reviews and one 1/3. The 1/3 is so far off the others, that I doubt anyone would take it seriously. Also 3 of the 4 good reviews were written by reviewers with more than ten reviews each. The low review is written by someone with 3 reviews. Maybe if you had a bunch of 8s and then one 5, it might be more believable, but the 1/3 is too much of an outlier to take seriously. TER may remove it at your request. But even if it stays, the good reviews far outweigh it. Just keep getting more good ones.

I'm not sure it is necesary to mention in your ads about the disputed review. You could definitely explain if someone asks about it. I think most guys would ignore it.

I realized that I overreacted. It is nice to see how helpful the ter can be. I'll be waiting on this to get resolved and hoping for the best...
So thank you for all your input!

I don't know any of your reviewers, but most guys would probably chalk up the bad one to no chemistry, you having a bad day, him having a bad day, or something that made the session go sour.  TER is usually pretty good about removing fake reviews and I think you made your case pretty well.

You can ask admin for free limited VIP since you have reviews.  Just use the 'contact us' button.  This way you can read the juicy details of your reviews, just not those of others.  You also are eligible to join the 'Providers only' board since you have the minimum number of reviews for membership.  I suggest you join, you can ask admin for that when you ask for the limited VIP membership.  This will allow you to chat with other providers and find out how some of them have handled this situation.  Trust me, you are not the first, and unfortunately, you won't be the last.  These assholes will always be around to make someone's life miserable.

I looked at his three reviews, and in all cases he says the same thing...  Pics were false, nice girl but bad experience.  Yours he wroe worse than the others, but TER should look at each of his reviews and remove them.  When you read them all and compare them to the other reviews for the girls involved he cleary gets off on bs.  Not helpful for hobbiests or providers.

Sorry you have to deal with this kind of thing.

As a user of reviews, I always discount the numbers that differ from the consensus.  One 9 in a collection of 5s is not going to convince me to see someone, and one 5 in a collection of 9s is not going to deter me from seeing someone I am otherwise interested in.  There are too many reasons for the unusual number - a fake review, as appears in your case, a one-off bad day, a peculiarity of the client - that would explain the number and thus render it irrelevant to me.

It has to be very painful to be a provider and endure these reviews; I would be mortified if anyone ever candidly evaluated my looks and performance.  It is perfectly understandable to be upset when a bad review shows up (and infuriating if it is fake) but my suggestion is to try to overlook it.  Most prospective clients will do so.
