I'd like to get VIP status without the added trail of sharing credit card information. Question is, how do you get to post reviews if you need VIP access to connect with most providers in the first place? Or put another way, what other ways are there to get VIP status? I'd like to connect with a provider in my area and it's a no go until then.

submitting problem reports when you find something in a provider's profile that is wrong, like a missing website.  If you find that a provider has more than one profile, submit a problem report on one of them and give both ID numbers in the report.

...labelled "Report a Problem."  Details change and sometimes a profile hasn't been updated, especially when it was created over five years ago.

As swim says, you will get two free VIP days for every problem report approved by TER.  It's important that you include proof of the discrepancy.
