A question was posted yesterday about tipping providers above and beyond the agreed-upon donation.  This was a very helpful thread with one noticeable thing missing from the responses: how does one go about giving that gift?

If the standard protocol for donations is to not mention them at all during a session, how does a client show their appreciation with a monetary (or non-monetary) gift afterwards without it being awkward or breaking the "donation rule"?  I'd love to give a provider a tip for time well spent but am unsure how to effectively do so.

Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

...I will take it from my pocket while preparing to leave and palm it. I place it in her hand during the hug and kiss goodbye. Some clients place it on top of the envelope as they leave if it's still where they placed it. Some just put it where the envelope was.

As for a non-monetary gift just hand it to them whenever the mood strikes you.

Thank you! That is very helpful advice. I was hoping it was something simple like that and I was just overthinking it. 😀

bathroom on the way out, quickly, and leave it on the counter. She'll find it and be delighted. 😊

I tip for good service.  amount depends on how good.  I always come prepared with a couple of extra envelopes with different $$
amount in them. I simply place the chosen tip envelope in the same place as the original donation without saying anything and leave
