See you there!
Hey ladies, I'm about to start touring and I wanted to know where would be some good places to travel too and what are some to stay away from...Also what are some key things I should travel with.
and what should be my main planning concerns
Being a independent I'm still learning alot of things along the way

Or even on the general board.
This is not a "secret" type "girls only" question that should stay off the public boards.
Besides, she may not have access to the PO board. It takes three reviews Plus a "posting history." She may not have a posting history.
I travel where my clients are & I require a deposit to book. I am visiting NY at the end of the month & I never pay out of pocket for anything. I received a deposit 3 months ago to book my trip. I would recommend fishing 1st & do plenty of research.

Look at other women in areas who charge the same rate as you, and look much the same...see how they are doing. You being like them may help, or you being just the opposite could give you a niche market that works for you as well.
I could list the cities that I have done well in or horribly in, but that does not mean you will, so this is always a moot POV.
I would however be happy to answer any questions about certain "areas/neighborhoods" and hotels to avoid in various cities, and I certainly have capitalized on smaller cities where there is less competition, and a lack of quality providers.
I only did well in two of those you listed, and I have been at this 5 years. Unless you live in a big city, it is very hard to tour there and expect to get booked for the expenses you have to put out. I always suggest when touring a major city, to take an extra 2 days to hit a small city that is a train ride away.
For instance, Manhattan, Jersey, and Stamford, or Tyson's Corner, and D.C. then, Jackson, Memphis, and Little Rock. Booking for 3 locations per trip ensures that if one area is not treating you well, you are not stuck there with a paid room for nothing. You simply pack up, and head to the next location that the calls are coming in. This is of course, much harder to do when you have to fly, but it is possible if you are patient...I am not lol.
I've actually had to cancel 2 trips to D.C. and 3 to Phoenix because of the lack of pre-bookings, then the day I would have arrived, tons of requests came in. I don't play that any more, which is why I stopped touring.
Guys bitch about having to pay a deposit, yet the are the ones who always end up having to cancel. Without a deposit, it's a crap shoot, these days to invest thousands of dollars, just to take a loss. I would not advise any new touring provider to fly, but to start slow and drive to cities within a few hours of where she lives. Once she gets her feet wet and can see what areas will bring her the most profit, she can start investing more money to visit areas that are farther away.
LR is completely right. Got to put your feelers out on which cities you will do good in, prior to going! Each city is different for everyone.
I am going to be touring now that I got my feet wet (here and there)... so I am not an expert on this by any means. This isn't advice,,, From my experience, it was easier for me to have my own car (rather than fly). I then have the freedom of moving on if I so chose and not worrying about flight change, car rental etc. In addition, if you plan on doing outcalls or exploring the city, you will need a car anyways. As LR said, try out areas within a few hours of your area. That is what I plan on doing mainly.
I toured my first time (and only time so far) for three weeks in the same city (major one). I do not suggest that, in general. It is quite a long time for one place and I was 8 hours away from home. My circumstances were different as I was going to be in the area regardless for other reasons (family). I thought why not give it a try, see how I do, as I am there quite often (every 1 1/2 months or so). I was amazed at how busy I was for the entire time. I don't know if it was a full moon or something was in the water lol, but I am going to tour there again in a a few months. Here is to hoping it was more than some random luck !!! (Yeah, my next "touring" post will be a horror story I am sure lol)
I decided it was a good idea for me, when I go on vacations, to just add a few days to the trip. That's always something to consider as well.
(and it was nice not to see any snow or freeze for once lol)
Advertising prices for ads in major cities, are outrageous! A NYC ad on Eros last time I visited, was nearly 200 bucks for a regular ad, and you need a Top 10 placement to even get noticed with all the providers there. My rule of thumb is never spend more than 2 days in any city that eros lists over 70 girls in, and it has never failed me. Hotel costs are another factor, which is why I suggest changing up your rates and cities. For instance, when I visit Manhattan the average hotel room is 400 bucks, and my rate is 800. When I hit Stamford, the hotel costs drop to about 150, and I lower my rate to 400...same with Jersey. So, if you don't make bank in NYC because of the high expense, you can make that up in Stamford in only 1 or 2 days, depending on your volume. Most ladies will tell you that seeing less than 4 guys a day in NYC, is a loss, but I've never had to see more than 2 to make "some" money.
Your rate has to match the cost of your expenses, or you will take a loss. You don't have to charge per hour, but at least charge a rate that is going to make you money and not leave you having to see 3 guys a damn day. You can easily charge a 2 hour min. vs. a high hourly rate, and that will be better received.
Make sure the hotels you choose do not require a key card to access the elevators. You can find this out by calling from a blocked number, and then booking your room on a third party site like hotels.com or priceline, but be careful with priceline. as you can't pick your bed type.

I would be happy to see you.
Head out of the capital of the new South and to the capital of the Confederacy.... Richmond, VA. We're short of quality providers especially AA of quality. Post on BP with link to those reviews...... You'll clean up. Please.... Pretty please with sugar on it???
and what should be my main planning concerns

I am one of Fantasy's fans and can attest that ANY city she graces will be happy/grateful for her decision to grace them with her presence.Long time friend , she is a legend here in the ATL!!
that anyone can access, so responses should be guarded as far as sensitive information. A conversation might move to the Providers Board, PM or email for that.
Best wishes,
HV
Yes, which is why no one should ever mention exact hotels and street names, but just suggesting a city is not classified info. lol.
