Ever gone to a providers hotel, call from the parking lot at the arranged time, only to be left anxiously waiting? This happened to me for the first time. I called multiple times and sent an email. She is a well reviewed provider, and I have seen her twice before. I don't know whether to be worried or pissed off.
I am reasonable and believe everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.
It has been several days now, still no response. I know she is OK because I have seen her online. It is a shame because she was my ATF. I've had to cancel before, but never NCNS. Any response is better than none at all.
I was stood up after traveling nearly 2 hours by public transportation into NYC with a regular provider who I had seen at least half a dozen times. When she didn't answer her doorbell, I took out my cellphone to call her whereupon there was a text message from her apologizing for cancelling on short notice because she was presently engaged with a hobbyist who had decided to extend his time with her. Needless to say, that was a real downer. It was also the last time I ever contacted her and although I now always confirm an hour or so prior to an appointment, nothing can stop these providers from going for the big bucks with the big spenders.I also had experiences with first time providers who kept me waiting on a corner or in a hotel lobby for their return call that never came.I know of no way to prevent these circumstances from occurring. I guess it's all part of the game that they play to go where the money is.So the moral of the story at least for us older hobbyists, is to refrain popping the little blue pill until we see the white of their eyes.
but if and when I start needing it, you can bet that I will keep a couple of reliable agencies phone numbers on speed dial. Nothing is worse than being all dressed up, with no place to go. lol
Providers, like hobbyists, cancel for a myriad of reasons. They all suck, but it is part of the business, one that you need to be prepared for, no matter how good a reputation the lady has.
It's not as big a deal to someone like me, who used to hobby virtually every day. One missed appointment and/or possibly one day without sex is not that big a deal. For those guys who have to plan in advance to their once a month session, have got to be super pissed after a NCNS.
I recall about six years ago that I had three of them in the space of about two months; two from gals I had seen previously (But have never heard from again.)
One time it turned out that a gal had gotten into a car accident on her way over to see me, and her phone was destroyed. When she got out of the hospital, she was able to email me. That was a relief.
So, don't take it personally. Get back on the horse and ride.
Send one email saying you are worried and ask if she is OK
If she did have an emergency to her, her kids, almost found out, or whatever, she will get in touch when she can and will probably remember that your first reaction was worry, not anger. Half the time.
If she did stand you up for no good reason she might ignor you in which means the email did no harm, no good. Quarter time.
Or if she did stand you up for no good reason she might feel a little guilty and make it up to you. The other quarter time.
She always emails me when she is in town, figure I am in a mailing group. Here's hoping she feels guilty and offers a nice discount the next time through.
