I am new to the hobby. While it seems all providers use a cover for FS it appears most give BBBJ. I've read it's possible to get STD's from BBBJ. Has anyone ever caught one and what the the real risks from receiving a BBBJ?

This topic is discussed frequently here and the general consencus is the risk is minimal. I've probably had a thousand bbbjs in the past 20 years and never contracted anything. I almost never engage in DATY with a provider (although a few times I've chosen to partake) but many of the members find that a big part of the experience for them and they never have a problem either. I would think going down on a provider who you know has many partners as well as a personal life would be more risky than the provider doing bbbj on a client that maybe gets out once a month, but in either case, it does not seem to be an issue.

I had some  STD like symptoms ( burning, itching in the genital area) with no actual lesion or discharge after a BBBJ encounter. I guess major part of it was psychological, and had decided to quit the hobby. After 3 months of repeated testing, presumptive treatments and quite a bit of money later, was finally convinced that I had no STD what so ever.

Now I am back in hobby, but will play only with CBJ. For me sesnation is as good as BBBj and mentally I am much more relaxed.

During the 3 months, I had consultations with various docs actual and online at medhelp, I found that BBBJ is almost considered safe sex by many experts with a small risk, more to the provider than the Hobbyist, however there is a small risk that exists. It is upto you to decide if you want that risk or not.

If you have no SO, then go ahead with BBBJ and regular testing, else stick to CBJ, but still with testing every 3 months.

I did read a few days back about a hobbyist posting that he got Chlamydia with BBBJ, but that is the only instance I know, most experts say that Chlamydia is almost impossible to get with BBBJ as it does not hold very well in the mouth, Gonorrhea is more possible with DT.

Thank you for the insight. I just had a bbbj and spent the last 3 days convincing myself I had contracted an STD. I think it definitely was psychological. CBJ for me from here on out, that's for sure.
