I have a question for the more experienced hobbiests. What do you think about stds. I would like some advice about prevention, if any, outside of the basic wear a cover. Also when it comes to oral.

Also, how risky do you think it really is in this hobby.

...It's a starting place. It is about 5 year old info but it gives you places to look and I'm sure you'll be able to find more up to date info using these sources.  

Look on the CDC web site as well.

My take is it all has risk. Yes, cover up. There is risk with oral but it's minimal.  

If you search on this board you'll find this has been discussed often.

I am against them.

But seriously, I am more risk tolerant than many, but definitely do not want an STD. I avoid by seeing smart. careful providers that also feel that way. With this simple approach, I think the risk of STDs is far less than on Match.com (based on a friend's experience) or at your average "hookup" bar.

 After all, the women on TER have more incentive to avoid STD's than your average "civie"woman.
