If you aren't verified, head over to P411 or DateCheck. They will ask personal info but they are very trust worthy. Ladies won't see you unless someone can vouch you're not a cop.

the good news is that all the info you need is right here, you just need to take some time to teach yourself what you need to know.  The bad news is there are no short cuts, and you will have to  take some time to teach yourself what you need to know.

Given your concerns about getting busted, you should probably take some time to acquire the skill set that will help you to avoid getting busted.  You should probably spend some significant time reading the self help center (several times), and then you should spend some significant time reading this FAQ for newbies board.

Almost any question you could possibly ask has already been asked and answered on this FAQ newbie board.  To make things better, there is an easy to use search tool that allows you to do searches on the FAQ newbie board.

In addition to doing the research mentioned above, also, at a minimum, you should probably acquire a hobby phone and a hobby email address.  These topics have been written about thoroughly on the FAQ newbie board.  You just have to use the search tool to find what you need.    

Of course none of this will make you 100% bullet proof; but if you follow the standard precautions and conventional wisdom ( see FAQ newbie board), you should be able to greatly reduce your risk.

there are no shortcuts.  Like any illegal activity, there are always risks.  The self help center offers up a lot of helpful info for you.  What I don't think has been mentioned is your research on potential providers that you want to see.  That is as important as the screening that the ladies do on us.  VIP membership here is needed for that so you can see all the juicy information about the providers.  Without it, you might as well take potluck.  Read the reviews, google search the pics and the phone number on providers that have little or no information.  If she has over 10 reviews here from established reviewers, she should be good to go.  
There is no reason to see any escort who is hiding something, but how do you know she is?

Bottom line is, research is the key and this topic has been discussed here countless times.  Do a search for it.
