I think going with your gut, works 99% of the time in the hobby.

Okay, so after exchanging a few emails with a potential client and having to cancel our first appointment due to his job, I asked if he would like to reschedule an appointment for a date with me. After a new date was set, the response I received from him afterwards, threw me WAY off. He said that he would honestly like to "Hire me for a year. Seriously". He said it would consist of 3-4 visits a week, shopping, dinner, drinks. Should I go with my guts and politely decline the offer as I intended?

..doesn't know if there is any chemistry.  It sounds as if he just wants to take you for a "test drive" without paying by promising you the moon.

That he is legit.  However, the chances are that he is playing a game.  If he is serious, he needs to book (and pay for) a few extended multi-hour appointments with you so that you can get to know him and see if you even want to spend time with him and vice versa.

You would also need to talk about the terms of this arrangement as, if he suddenly decides to quit seeing you, and you have limited your availability to other clients, you may wind up with open appointment time that you cannot fill,

Just my thoughts.

Her website doesn't even have pictures that give any sense of what she really looks like. The chances of someone booking for a year with an unreviewed provider without even an explicit picture to go by are less than zero.

Do not walk away, run, run like the fucking wind away from this wacko.

Either he is a stalker in the making, just fucking with you, or is looking for a free "test drive", no matter which kind of bad news he is, he is certainly not legit. The best you can hope for is that he has a warped sense of humor.

I would politely decline, explaining as stated that you have never met & would never consider such an arrangement unless you were good friends first...  and neither should he.  

My gut tells me he's a total newbie.  Prepaid arrangements take a lot of negociating.  This can NOT be accmplished between strangers.  This is in the catigory of a 'Sugar Daddy' arrangement.  I don't know enough about that area.  
A lot of pitfalls.  If he expects you to always be available?  Can you continue your business?  Is protection going to be used or both tested & outside contact prohibited.  Do you have other relationship?  Can he afford all your expenses?

you want with someone you have never met or maybe down the road, have met a few times.  A sugar daddy deal should be for people with some chemistry for each other.

Yes girl, don't let them dangle the carrot of big money and waste your time.  There are some guys who will keep you talking on the phone about paying you double just so they can jack off to the sound of your voice.  No lie!

Unless you have an established relationship, feel comfortable and compatible, then the bigger money they talk the bigger BS they are usually full of.  

Always err on the side of caution.

You should not have extended dates with anyone unless there is chemistry & he's proven a reliable & responsible gentleman.  Start with a 1-2 hour meeting...  paid & everything normal.  Forget anything else unless that goes well.  At least 2 of them before an extended meeting.   See if he passes these tests before going further...  

I agree your pictures are nice but minimal.  He's apparently never even talked on the phone!  What??  

This guy is a Newbie or an Idiot?

I just wanted to thank you all for your posts, and to give you an update. After reading your 2nd opinions, they all seemed to point to red flags, so I did decide not to see this person. I was already on alert just in case he may be LE from my backpage ad (that's why I wanted to see what you guys and gals thought). I went to my email, and found out that (once again) he wasn't able to make it at the time agreed upon anyway and wanted to change it to a time I don't offer. When I told him it wasn't available, he offered to meet and pay me to "stay in good standing". After my declining the same offer again he asked if he could get his original time back. I told him it was no longer available.
