Hello ladies, i'm a newbie to this wonderful lifestyle and can't believe i've waited so long to have the balls to jump in but i have one question,

If a guys wife or significant other found your number somehow and called to see who you were, how do you handle that?  I ask because a woman i work with, searches her husbands phone whenever he puts it down and calls any number she doesn't recognize to see if a woman answers.  I  made the mistake of asking her, 'then what' so a woman answers, it could be a telemarketer or anything but it made me wonder how you all would handle a random inquisitive woman caller.

Why would you stay with someone who violates your privacy like that?  
Or Someone you trust so little you feel the need to call numbers on his cell phone?

Sorry, I don't have any experience dealing with this yet...but hopefully your relationship is not as bad as your co-workers.
If your SO does this to you, your relationship was already in serious trouble.

and most of the time I let it go to voice mail and then call back after I listen to the message. If a women left a message I would not return her call. I hate being sold anything on my cell so I avoid those calls altogether.

Your coworker and her husband need some relationship boundary reevaluation. If I had an SO did that to me, I'd be sitting him down for a serious trust issues and privacy talk.

Anyway. I only give my number out to gentlemen after I've screened and we've scheduled, so if a woman calls me, she has the wrong number no matter who she is.

... not heading home before deleting the particular entry in your cell phone's Calls Made or Calls Received list.  If you need to remember the lady's number for later, jot it into your notebook in some makeshift simple code.

I recognize the number.  If a woman calls/text/email me asking about her husband, I just simply denies it.  You have to remember that most providers are discreet and will not turn you in.  I'm sure they know what to expect when a woman ask about their husband.  Most of us are prepared for this situation.

You Have NOOO Idea, she is psychotic.  She flat out told us that if she really suspected that he was just with a woman, that she sniff his .....to see if it smelled like another woman.  Why he stays?  I think he's scared of her, i would be!

But I have called a guys # he gave me and a woman answered, his wife, and I asked if "Susie Q" was there. Kinda uncomfortable. But you do your best.
If I had some random women calling me and asking me questions like who am I...I would just turn it around back on her...who are you? How did you get my #? Good grief, Lady. Don't you have anything better to do? Maybe he dialed a wrong #. I'm sure she would just be ready to hang it up.

I'm far less tolerant of jealousy, If my GF wants to hobby or swing again...i'm good!  Hell i even joked about her being a provider since she complains about her job so much.

do not be stupid by using your regular phone. Break down and get a hobby phone. You can pick up a hobby phone for $20 with minutes.  How much is your privacy, and your relationship worth? If you use your reg phone like an idiot, delete your call record after. This behavior puts us in a difficult possition that could have been avoided. If you are careful you won't need to worry what we are going to do to cover your ass.

if you are being careless you are putting Our privacy at stake. The last thing I need is some crazyass bitch calling me drilling me on who I am and why her SO has my number. Be responsable.

Arrogant guys are sloppy...  waiting to get caught.  When I started this I promised myself I'd not do anything STUPID!  Thanks to the great folks on TER, I now realize how lucky I was...  & LUCK is not to be RELIED upon.

Use a hobby phone.  Only turn it on for hobby.  Keep it in a safe place.  
Use a secure separate (free) e-mail...  not one tied to your civie identity...  different P/W.
Erase tracks on your computer or better still get a window washer program or use a brouser that doesn't leave track.
Don't use a work computer or access point.  Companies can fire guys for this.  Use a personal devise with a 3G access.
Do not use your Credit Card anywhere you're not supposed to be.  No gas, ATM, soda & snacks.
Up your pocket money & accumulate cash so no unusual ATM withdrawals.
Wash face, hands & anywhere else before going home.  

Oh, yes, there is a newbie "manual" on the top of this board.  Read it over & read these boards back a few pages.  You'll learn a bunch.

As for the hobby phone statement, i personally like the pay as you go phones...no bills no traces.

most of us on the TER are professional and know you clients are our bread and butter.. we wouldn't sell you out like that we don't want someones wife to sneak up on us and you know get rid of us lol

"who the hell are YOU??"
and I then SAY
" this is my mans phone and if you think your being slick trying to wreck our relationship think again you homewrecker" haha

That has actually happened to me a few times and the phone I use I ONLY use for appointments and stuff so I know no woman has that number. So whenever I get a phone call from a woman and she asks who I am I usually say that I represent some sort of computer repair company or that I accidentally dialed or they accidentally dialed the wrong number
