With apologies to Tori, Ciara, Carrie, and all of the lovely indies who post here!!!

An independent is a lady who answers her own phone and email.  She does her own scheduling and advertising.  These ladies range from the the most inexpensive, unreliable, and inexperienced CL lady, to the TER legends mentioned above.

Likewise, agencies (where the lady has someone else schedule her visits, and advertise for her), they range from newspaper ads saying that their are "attractive women available for you", to a collection of top class providers.

In my 18 years in the hobby, I've seen both indie and agencies ladies I hope never to see again, and both indie and agency ladies I hope to see again and again.

Don't judge a lady on how she chooses to do her business.  Read her reviews, and make an informed choice!!!

I know I haven't done this for 18 yrs but I have to disagree with you. I love the Indy ladies..I have met a lot of them and they are wonderful.. They try to cultivate you as a client and I appreciate that. Some of the agency ladies are little bit more business like to me. They know they are working for someone else and it just a meeting. I know some great ladies that work for agencies but I prefer an Indy..

PS; when I go to Atlanta, I do have a couple of agencies I do use..lol   Please don't hold this post against me..lol

as you help prove my point!!! We all have our fovorites and preferences.  Great ladies can be found in both situations.

While I now live in England, my home is Phoenix, the city of many great indies, and about a half dozen great agencies.

It seems that there are some indies that hire people to get clients to them.  I guess these indies call the agency to let them know that they are alright afterward.  These are not really agencies, although I see them listed as agencies.  They are indies who hire people, whether it be an agency or a concierge service.  So there is a hazy line there.

As I recall, TER posted a poll some time ago that asked which you prefered.  The result was 90% said Indys!  I agree with previous posts in that there are Great ladies in both situations.

My last year and a half in school I worked in the biz .... first with an agency then I had an assistant arrange everything (*she answered my emails and made posts, kept my ads current & took care of all of my travel as well as other details*) now I do everything myself.

There are situations where a lady just might not be capable of being truly independent due to time constraints or other outside factors..... it does not change their mannerisms or behavior.

However, if a woman is unhappy with the arrangement or not comfortable in the surroundings then her Performance will reflect that.

In my home town we have some wonderful Indy's and some fabulous agency's.... I always encourage gentlemen to do their research and get a good idea of what they can expect. As some have already mentioned.... there are great experiences with both an Indy & an agency and there are
horrible experience with both.
