Fairly new Provider- a little under a year.
Have recently acquired a stalker. Have not met with the person that I know of. He has been texting me from a 'burner phone' - untraceable- with threats on my life, saying I 'did him wrong and it's payback'.  He has started posting on various escort sites to stay away from me and recently graffitied my in call location in giant letters am obscene message.

I blocked his number, took a break from my in call for a week...but now I am angry.  I live in fear, have knives hidden everywhere in my home, bought a stun gun, multiple cans of mace.  I am very very careful with who I see.  I verify multiple references, real names, ID's, employment.  I don't even see brand new clients.

What can I do to find this person?  I have never had an altercation with a client, never argued or turned someone away I agreed to meet.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm in South Central PA above DC.

Thanks,
M

You should probably seek advice from other providers who have crossed this bridge before.  If it were me, I'd be considering whether to involve police - this guy sounds pretty scary.  But please just get advice from some of the providers who have been around for a while, or (probably even better) go to one of the sex worker outreach groups.

Find a new place. If anyone hates you that much,  don't make it easier for them by remaining in a place known to them. Provider or not that's the advise I'd give anyone.

Move, or set him up…it IS possible to beat him at his own game.  I hate to say it but you may even be dealing with female competition. Yes, there are some seriously insane providers out there and you may have hindered things for her somehow. It's a smart idea to look at ALL the possibilities.  I cannot email but you may be able to communicate with a davy provider who would know what I'm talking about.  Good luck.

When I say, set him up I do not mean call the  police or anything like that!  If you are clever you can cause a snake like that to get all caught up in his/her own twisted BS and will regret ever messing with you.  HE or SHE will be in a boat load of hot water and you will be just fine.  Think about it.

You said you had never seen him so how does he know where you live? Could be he got caught up in cell phone records or was followed by gf or wife and she's just pissed and hopefully it'll blow over cause it's expensive to move. Good luck.

I moved to a different area, changed name and cell phone/website and got new photos. Worked like a charm, but it was a lot of hassle. Best thing is to not talk to him or encourage it in any way. I'd completely ignore everything and if he shows up someplace, call the damn cops.

Don't count on cops. You'll end up chopped up into little pieces or hogtied and raped in wait.

Go to best buy and buy a camera that videotapes people entertains and exiting.

Some people may not like it, but the reality is we are being filmed entering, exiting and walking around so many places today.

Set it up in a discreet spot.

Catch the dickhead.

Call the police.

I'm sorry that you're going through this..

If you don't have any ties that keep you there, Vegas is so much fun right now, come take a vacation.

Oh yeah, take photos of anything that he does.

I'm a new hobbyist, but in the real world I do technology, security and logistics work.

1. Move. This has been said. Absolutely relocate. Minimum a few miles, someplace you haven't been before. For best results go to a new city. Pain in the ass, but if you are serious about solving this problem, start here.

2. Lay low. Stop working for 2-3 weeks. No ads online, but if you must work, try reaching out to some known regulars if you have them, and are still neat your current area.  If at this point your stalker resumes contact, then you know its someone you've dealt with before.

3. When you resume work, change your MO. Use different language in your ads. I've noticed providers are pretty consistent with their wording. Also new pictures, no face shots for a while, if you ever used them at all. And use a new handle.

4. New contact info. Get a new email address. If you have a website, drop it for a new one. And absolutely get a new phone...
4a. Burners are good, cheap and quick, but...
4b. An iPhone or android might be better (you can get either prepaid). You can get an app called TextPlus. With it you can create a phone number at will for text and voice. Do not use the phones native phone and text functions for work, that may leave a trace. Use an app like TextPlus, that way you can change info again if you have to, and you can quickly delete the app if you need to dump the data.

5. Know your enemy.  I see a couple of possibilities here.  a. former customer, b. customer you turned down,  c. rival provider, d. customer's SO, e. someone from your personal life (an ex), f. unbalanced individual who came across your contact info online

In all cases, you should consider the person unbalanced clearly.  They graffiti-ed your incall, that is telling enough. Points 1,3 and 4 are common sense.  Point 2 will help with the truly unbalance.  If its a random person who developed a fixation on you, going off the grid for a bit will give them time to find something new to obsess about.

As I've said, i'm new at this so i hope i'm not speaking out of turn, but my work experience might be helpful. I'm good with tactical problems.

Stay safe!

knows where your incall is!!  In the 2 call system, you only give the general area before arrival, hense the second call.  Some gals are very clever...  giving a nearby address or an in between number or other side of the street...  that they can observe.  But this incall is blown, so you need to move it.
Knives are not much help unless you have a lot of training.  I would suggest strong doors / locks & also for the bedroom & bathroom as they can be safe rooms if necessary.

It's not wrong to go to the Police.  Your life has been threatened.  That trumps any misdemeanor charges.  Still, I would not make a Police complaint without an advocate.  Unless you happen to have a Police Officer you can trust...  and even if you do, THEY must be very careful to not implicate themselves in your business.
Alternative is to go to a lawyer...  have the lawyer accompany you to the Police so the inquiry stays on topic.  An atty may well work with a PI.  Discovering who the real name of your stalker & sending a cease & desist letter often works.  Setting up surveillance cameras outside your approach may be useful to ID the vandals.  Outdoor security cameras are common place these days & have come way down in cost.

Make these upgrades in your new location...  maybe hire a security company to set up cameras.
