Yesterday, someone asked about the delay in messages appearing on the board.  To make things clear, there are 2 types of posters - moderated and unmoderated.

Every new member of TER starts as moderated, which means that every message on any of TER's boards has to be viewed and approved by the board's moderator.  This may take up to 24 hours.

Unmoderated posters are known and trusted.  There posts appear immediately.  

The usual way to get unmoderated is to post regularly one of the regional boards.  As a general rule, the mods of the national boards, such as the general discussion and newbie boards, don't unmoderate members.

Occasionally, the mod of a regional board will be generous, and will post a get-yourself-unmoderated special.  This is the case on the 3 Canadian boards: Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver).  Look for the message from The Canadian Mod, or Le_Mod_Du_Canada, but be sure to read the fine print.

So come to Canada this long weekend, it could be worth your while!
