Phone numbers and reviews

Alrighty, here goes:

I just saw a provider last night, who is not on TER at the moment.  I'd like to write a review of her but the provider requested that I don't post her phone number along with her review and to just use her business e-mail.  Is that possible?  The phone she uses apparently is not just a business line.

Also, how exactly do providers see their reviews?  Do they have to buy their version of VIP membership as well?

Thanks!

A phone number isn't required for posting. If the provider doesn't wish to give out her phone number, please respect her decision. Type 555-555-1212 in the phone number field instead of a real number.

Free, limited "Provider" VIP access is available to all providers who have reviews on TER. All you need is a username and to request that your username be linked to your reviews.

As sphinxnc said, a phone number is not necessary to post a review, but a personal website or an ad that can be linked to is required.  Many providers do not give out their phone number until a date has been confirmed with the client.  Then it's used solely to give the client the general location and then the room number, if applicable.

Providers can purchase VIP membership, but do not have to.  Once a provider gets a review, she can request limited VIP which will allow her to read the complete reviews of herself only.  Then to read her reviews, she just does what any other member does, open her profile.  To read the juicy details of other providers, she will have to buy the membership.

The limited VIP also allows her to use the PM system.  She can also request to have her review(s) linked to her handle, so that whenever she posts on a thread, the link is there on her post.  Once she gets 3 reviews, she can request to be admitted to the Providers' Only board.  However, she must also demonstrate that she can follow the basic rules of posting etiquette, in order to gain admittance.

She only has ads on a competing board, she doesn't have a stand-alone website I can link to.  So, no go then? (Which would suck, because she's by far the nicest provider I have ever seen, both physical beauty and personality).

If the ad is on a competing site, TER will not link to it. If she doesn't have a website she needs an ad on some ad mall (eros cityvibe, backpage, freepostsite, or a P411 or date check profile) that can be linked to. If she has none of those, you can't write a review for her on TER. You do have a three month window to write a review though, so if within the next three months she does get a website or put up an ad on one of the "linkable" sites, then you can submit a review. Go ahead and write up the general and juicy details now while it is fresh in your mind, in a text document and save it on your computer. Then if you submit a review later, you can just copy and paste the review.

You have already received an answer to the phone number thing.

She has to have an ad on Eros, cityvibe or some other escort advertising site.  An ad on a competing review board won't work since TER will not link to it.

It's not infrequently the case that on reviews in my area--about 1/10 it seems that there is no website linked to in the profile with some hyperlink that says "Report New Website URL" not in those exact words but it implies a link is missing, or a link is to a Back Page ad that has expired and when you try every permutation to find pics they don't pan out.  I think most people would take a pass when they can't see any website with pics linked on the profile.

No working website has not kept those reviews from going up as long as I've been looking at them.

Here's one of many many examples: Melissa TER ID: 203581

No Website; No Pics/"Report New Website URL" Went up 7/4/12 with this lack of information.

I am not doubting you, and I know this happens (new reveiws with a bad web link) as I have seen it myself. Just saying TER will not approve the review with a bad link so the link had to have been good at some point.
Here is a possible scenario for how it happens:

Johnny Hobbyist sees Suzy Cumsalot on July 1. He submits a review on July 2. On the review he has a link to Suzy's backpage ad. The TER "review gods" receive the review and start checking it out. They click on the link and it goes to Suzy's backpage ad. If the link was bad, they would not approve the review, and it would be back in Johnny's hands to correct it. But the link was good so they continue checking out the rest of the profile, and the general and juicy details. Because reviews take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to approve, let's say this one took 48 hours, TER approves it and finally posts it on July 4. Meanwhile on July 3, Suzy (or her pimp) cancels the backpage ad. Now Billy Hobbyist is trolling TER and notices some new reviews popped up so he clicks on Suzy's profile and clicks on the backpage link and it goes nowhere. It's a bad link (it says, "the ad you are looking for is no longer active" or whatever the BP message is), so Billy files a problem report. TER removes the link and puts up the standard "report new website" message, and Billy gets 2 free days of VIP. Now JeffEng16 notices Suzy's review in the "new reviews," and clicks on it and there is no web link.

PS --anyone who has been at TER for 7 years knows your scenario PS, and that's not what happened as I've explained to you before. Review went up de novo no site, ad w no pics EVER. So you're dead wrong. TER does put up profiles. A no pics and claims pics verified. I saw this the second it popped up. It had no ads or failed website at its start.

And as to the worthless troll HkCops who long ago got an alias b it's a pure coward and jerks off in mom's basement to post nothing but insults and is in real life an unsuccessful failed attorney you're typical of lawyers who can't make it.

HC like a failed lawyer never offers anything of value and hides behind alias to spew his mentally unbalanced venom.

No wrong. Been here 7 years not what happened. TER often puts up profile w no working ad, site, or pics and says pics real.

HkCops is a failure as a lawyer who lives here to post no value and insults only.

TER allows links to BP and Citiguide and Eros frequently in profiles that go up all the time.
I'd be happy to link profiles that demonstrate this.
