Can anyone tell me what that means? I've been seeing it recently and I have no idea what it's refering to.

THX.

Are you sure you're not overlooking the obvious?  Perhaps they meant skiing.  You know, those long flat things attached to your feet that allow you to glide over snow in the winter and water in the summer?  Without knowing the context in which it's used, it's hard for us to say.  I'm not trying to be a smartass this time; I've actually made posts in the past (locally) to drum up interest in ski trips with other providers and hobbyists.  No one ever suggested that "skiing" might have another meaning.  So if it does, it's probably somewhat obscure.

I don't think so. It was referring to skiing and french and not talking about the country, language, nor cuisine.

I just now saw a reference to strap-on. I am not sure I like where this is going.
