Showing up Late for an Appointment

I showed up 35 minutes late for a first-time appointment with a provider because of traffic congestion on the highway.  I do not have a cell phone so I could not contact the provider to let her know I would be late.  The provider had already left by the time I arrived and she left me a note to the effect that the appointment was cancelled.  I would like to see her very much.  Do providers usually give a newbie a second chance or is she done with me forever?

Everyone gets cancelled on at one point in time (it happens both ways) ..call her tell her what happened and ask how you can make amends .... if they're agreeable to you .... enjoy .....

Spinner's suggestion was encouraging.  However, it didn't work with this particular provider.  She is in high demand.

In the future, perhaps alert the provider that you do not have a cell phone and if you're running late, call from a payphone.  Make sure you have change in your car before you leave.

Hopefully, you'll be seeing someone who doesn't do a volume service, so if you do show up late, you'll get your time.

good luck.

You probably got black listed already though. That was a no no. And most of the time you will not get a second chance. She has no way of knowing if you are bull shiting or not. She just thinks your a no show and now a jerk. Get the cell phone and good luck.
