A well reviewed provider is visiting my local city. AS A NEWBIE I submitted all info to her web site for consideration 10 days before her visit. She will be visiting on 8/6 and no response to date, I also followed up with a email to her personal account. Is this the norm not to hear anything? She could be all booked up, remember she is "low volume". Maybe she doesn't want new clients at this time, maybe she didn't feel like checking your references, or doesn't like your job, etc.
Just look for someone else.
Even if she gets back to you now, you probably won't feel comfortable with the big delay between message.

As far as the provider, if she is booked solid she may not give you the courtesy of a reply. This happens. Then too, she may contact you if she has a cancellation or a no show. Don't be surprised if you hear from her on the next tour when she needs some appointments.
You still have time for plan B. Perhaps a local provider will suit you, and you will also garner a reference from her for future use.
