If you are going to shave or trim really close, do it a few days before your session with her to allow any small cuts you may have made to heal.  you don't want to
1. possibly appear to have an STD
2. increase your chances of contracting an STD
3. create a bloody mess (unless that turns you on)

Also, grooming to me means washing and rinsing really well.  Get Mr. Happy and the boys washed really well, but also do not neglect the perineum region behind your balls (between your balls and your anus).  Also don't forget to rinse really well and repeat.  You don't want to leave a film of soap around there, which is easy to do in the cold weather around now.

If you have a tendency to develop OCD's around washing though, feel free to neglect my advice.  :)

As I look at providers' websites, a lot of them have a little thing that says they are always well groomed and expect the same from visitors. What does this eman, exactly? I'm a pretty hairy guy and don't really have a desire to start shaving or trimming anything. Will this negatively affect the service I will get? Thanks.

Being squeeky clean is way more important than shaving. I don't mind working through the hair, but clients who don't pass the sniff test will receive limited services.

they are shaved down there.  Lots of girls shave the pubic region, which I have to admit I love, except for the stubble.  If you want her to pay lots of attention to your berries, shave them.  I do, and they love it.  

Have to admit, the first few times, it was a little nerve-wracking, but now it's not a big deal to shave myself.

The whole thing is, no one wants to floss with pubic hair, men and women alike.  While you may get some good attention down there, I guarantee you will get more if you shave the area.

I will admit, gentlemen who are shaved clean or trimmed closely certainly receives "Paris' Preferential Tongue Treatment" for a much longer period of time.

Gagging or fishing out hairs really isn't all that sexy!

Above all, hygiene trumps. So, make sure your rod and boys are squeaky clean!

I am somewhat hairy, so I use a Norelco Bodygroom to keep my hairy parts trimmed short.

I shaved the crotch area for a while, but this did not seem to make much difference.
