hmmm..sexy ads. but there is a fine line there as well. I dont want to sound too sexy..but just a hint. i have work to do!! thanks!
so keeping it straightforward (as in, hey, im here, doing this on this date) may need to be tweaked.
thanks!

Okay, I read thru a few of the posts on here and have come to some conclusions. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In order to let everyone know you are a newbie, you should post to a board..a regional board. But then again, if you post to a regional board, you look like a deperate fool because I mean really, you dont have any reviews. What in the heck? So how does one get reviews? By posting to a regional board and praying someone takes a chance on you. I need to find that fine line between everything..any ideas? Especially on how to convince someone to take a chance on a newbie? Oh, and I do not look like a model. But I have personality and am not bad looking. lol. just throwing that disclaimer out there.

And I took the music player off my site. I really liked it, but then again..was it necessary?

Oh, and if anyone wants to do a meet and greet with me, please contact me and let me know. Maybe thats how I should approach this. And I wont give discounts to anyone...I dont care who you are. I know I am worth it. Silly of me to even think about "discounts". augh.

And i am tired of fighting with what I can post on a board and cant. So I decided to actually read up on it. lol
So, in conclusion, I just need to be patient. lol I will have my piece of the pie..if not the whole thing. just not now. maybe soon.

overwelming.  Read a few pages, not just a few posts.  Read the Newbie Manual too.

The reason many of us veterans suggest posting on your regional board is so guys can get to know you.  Yes, you are allowed 1 ad post per week; but, post under various topics so the guys in your area can get an idea of your personality ("But I have personality") and will feel more comfortable with seeing you.  A lot of your early success will have to do with building a raport with potential clients.

Set your fee structure to be slightly below the market in your area to possibly attract clients that are in the decision process.  If your rates are too low it sends a red flag and if the rates are too high, a lot of guys will pass

Regarding your web site, I couldn't find any descriptive words about you.  I looked at your pics but I have no idea of how tall you are, how old you are, etc.  For some guys, this is important.

Also, when you post using an alias, no body can send you a PM.

Good luck.

thanks! this is a learning process and any help is greatly appreciated!! i will make changes as I go along..and you are right.
Thanks again!!!

Many ladies post on regional boards without reviews. You will only seem deperate if that is how your post sounds. But there is no need for that. Post sexy ads. Get involved in discussions (contribute positively; don't become involved in train wrecks), particularly one's that let you talk sexy. This will help guys become comfortable with you and turn them on.

so keeping it straightforward (as in, hey, im here, doing this on this date) may need to be tweaked.
thanks!

It really can be as simple as that.

This is how I came to be on TER.  An escort that I met asked me to right a review of her, so I asked what is involved.  She walked me right through all the steps including setting up a Yahoo email account to keep that email seperate from my work email, and on and on.

Not all guys will do it but I'm willing to bet a significant number will.

Then you'll really be in business, so to speak.

Best of luck to you.  Your site is very nice.

i thought of doing it that way as well. just pointing out how to do a review and all of that. whew! thats something i will try as well...thanks!
And thank you for the compliment. I am not a computer programmer, but after setting up that site and others...i should be. lol

Hey Kyhm. Do not feel dumb. First, you sre doing the right thing by posting on TER.  Nice Site but you need to perhaps to simplify it.  For example, you list services with no prices.  Most guys feel you might upsell - so I suggest you come up with a price list on your website.

prices are down at the bottom and there is only one price for all services...and believe me, i am not trying to upsell at all! lol. thats a form of cheating..and street level provider.
thanks though!!
do ya think there are too many words on it? like, in the description of me and on my services page?

Since both wiz and I couldn't find your rates after looking at your site, that means they need to be more prominent. That could be as simple as moving them to the top of the page instead of near the bottom.

I think your descriptions are good (fellow nerd here!), have a good length, and do give insight into your personality. I haven't seen any of your ads, so you may be doing this already, but try to include as much of your personality in them as possible. Try to make your ads as memorable as the time with you will be. :)

You have my sympathies on how rough it is to get started in this business. It's something that most of us didn't realize until we went through it ourselves. But it's like starting any new small business -- the first few months to a year are often a struggle just to keep in business, nevermind turning a profit!

As others have said, ask every client you see to review you (either on TER or wherever he's comfortable) and participate in your regional discussion board and on the general discussion boards. Find as many free ad sites as you can just to get your name out there.

Hang in there. You're gorgeous and seem like a total sweetheart (and a lot of fun). I know you'll do well.

thanks for the info. i moved my rates up higher on the page they are featured on.(cuz they were too far down) any help i can get (since you are right, its my own small business, i lost sight of that) is always greatly appreciated. since i just changed it around (i have been messing with my site all day. lol)
So thanks and i promise not to complain anymore! i need to keep things in mind before i come off sounding whiny and silly. lol.

Not everything is easy to accomplish. However, if you want it you must work at it and not give up. (The red face is to emphasize how escorting is not always easy! Not an attack.)

I am not ugly in the least, but after 4 months of TER gents not paying any attention to me because I did not have any reviews, I began to think I was the ugliest of them all! My confidence was shot! But I had one gent I met on CL who saw me weekly for a multi-hour. So, I thought to myself, I must not be that bad...what can I do to rectify the situation...what can I do to make TER gents SEE me?

I sought the advice of a well known provider in MN and the TER boards in general. She offered the best advice I could have received. Offer a discount to reviewers in general. This is not against the rules. Do not offer a discount for the actual review, but to reviewers in general. I offered a discount to ALL TER gents who were White Listed or were reviewers. All of them and one decided to take one for the team (TOFTT). I received advice from him as well in terms of my menu. Once I had his review and opened up my menu, more gents saw me. That was the secret formula I had needed those 4 months. Try it!

But, it took 4 months! So while you are frustrated, do not be. Things could be worse. And all ladies have to post on regional boards. That is where ads are posted. It has nothing to do with desperation.

So you have a website and some decent photos. Now, go over to your regional board and post an ad. Let the gents know some about you. Offer a special to all TER reviewers so that someone will bit the bullet and see you, then hopefully write a review of you. Simple.

Good luck to you in your future endeavors as an escort. Being as escort is not always easy. Those who stick in there will excel. Those who don't won't.

Best wishes, hun!

Xoxo,
Giamarie:)

thanks so much. i have tweaked some things on my site (after one suggestion that i put more about me on my site...lol. common sense stuff).
And..some of the "regulars" I have..i am thinking about giving them the hint..as in, registering on this site/writing a review on me. I have two in the works right now.
I dont know why I got so frustrated. I know it takes time to establish one self. And to put my frustration out on a board...tacky. But I am kinda glad I did. I got some really great ideas..that are so far panning out.
And I emailed another provider in my area..apparently i missed a meet and greet in Dupont Circle! lol.
But thank you for the words of encouragement. I will stop complaining and do what I do best..not quit. All better take note..i am a crafty little thing. lol I am determined..and once my mind is set on something..nothing will get in the way of my goal

It said actual things about you and not just a bunch of fluff.  Give it a little time on here and I think you'll be doing just fine.  Good luck.
