As an older guy, I generally stop drinking alcohol a couple days before, def stop self-pleasuring prob a week ahead.  I don't shave for at least 2 days before, so the day of the date, when I do shave, I get a real close one.  The morning of the date, shave the berries early, then shave face hour or two ahead of date.  I only do incall, and usually have to drive 30-60 minutes to get to her incall.

That's basically it.

Swim

car has gas (so don't need to gas up someplace I should not be), hobby phone charged, have her phone number to make the call, shower just before departure if possible, a 3 pack of condoms (insurance blocks certain scams & inconvenience) of my preferance, no self pleasure for several days.

hydrated (water, Gatorade, etc., not alcohol), have some protein in my system and be well rested.  When I was much younger, I would rub one out  the morning of a date so I would last longer.  Now, as an older guy, I abstain for a few days to build up my energy.
