    As far as the internet is concerned, it is much better than anyother medium.  You can choose to get something like hushmail to get email.  With hushmail, a sender of email to you will not be able to get information about your email address until you reply.  I do not know a lot about hushmail but it may be possible that a email respondent could not even get your email address after you replied if you wanted that to happen.  There are probaly other email services out there like hushmail, I am only familiar with hushmail.
