The Value of TER...

I was just kind of leafing through some websites in my area (Central NJ) and I came upon a site for a lady calling herself Crystal.  It was a very attractive site, and while there was only one photo (no face), it looked pretty nice.  A buzzer went off, however, when I went to her FAQ area and saw the following in response to a question about her reviews:

"...I have myself viewed some less than desirable reviews which were posted by persons unmeet by me who were usually undesirables; game players, rude phone callers and price hagglers which I will not tolerate."

So, I went to TER and found there were four reviews for this lady -- all just awful.  In fact, her profile showed her as a ripoff in red block letters.

Had I not used TER, I might have actually proceeded (shudder).

There are a lot of ripoffs out there.  They count on meeting individuals who have not informed themselves.  I remember the first day that I joined TER and was able to read reviews.  I was looking that the hot woman on a website, she unwisely had a link to TER.  I followed the link and after a couple hours of being amazed and becoming a basic member I read the reviews of the woman whose link had led me here, even the basics of her reviews were so bad that I did not bother contacting her, she turned out to be a ripoff and her TER link was the worst thing that she could have on her website, from her standpoint but the best from the standpoint of potential customers.
