Search TER Plug In Firefox
I really would like to install the plug in but when I do, Firefox tells me that it will not install because the plug in does not have any security updates.
Can anyone help?
You need to disable this 'feature' in the hidden settings of firefox.
in a the firefox address bar type about:config
a warning will popup about the harm you could do.
click ok
Right click on any whitespace in the window and select New->Boolean. Enter extensions.checkCompatibility in the field. Enter False in the next field.
Right click again and select New->Boolean. Enter extensions.checkUpdateSecurity into the field and enter False into the next field.
Then close and restart firefox reinstall the TER plugin and you will be good to go.
What is a plugin and what does it do? I use firefox for security purposes (my posts don't end up on Google since I've started using it, and because I'm about to spellcheck with it.
