Review Submission Form - Are You Kidding Me?angry_smile

I'm certain that I am missing something here and I very much appreciate clarification from a seasoned reviewer.

I've been a VIP member since 2005 and at long last, I am ready to publish my first review.  I proceed to click on Reviews, Submit A Review, Read the Guidelines, Click Agree and Voila, I'm staring at the Review Form, filled with countless fields to populate.  Except one very important field....where in the hell is the drop down menu for me to selected the TER ID of the provider I am preparing to reviewing?  Once I select a TER ID from a drop down, all that nonsense in the form would be expected to populate automatically and I would just add my review and score.

I tried pressing Submit a Review from the Provider's profile and I still don't see where to select the TER ID.  For a moment I almost thought the option didn't exist and that I was actually supposed to refill the form that's already been filled in numerous times by other people.  But then it occurs to me that no website could possibly be built so idiotically and especially with $210 annual fees, there must be some contemporary database architecture in use here.

So I ask of all you review vets, how do I access the form with the TER ID that will prepopulate name, phone number, etc.

Thanks in advance!

You do have to fill out all the info. There is no drop down with the ladies TER ID#.  Pain in the ass!! Tell me about it!!! To top that off if you change any of her profile info when you fill it out just so it will be more up to date it won't show up on her profile when you hit submit. You have to file a problem report to make those kinds of changes.

Most guys open two windows so they can see her profile and then fill out their form. It's easier to just put exactly what's on her profile.
I recommend writing the providers TER ID# in the first sentence of your General Details to make sure the review gets attributed to the correct provider.

Thanks for contributing to the community.

that I rarely write reviews anymore. It is such a huge pain in the ass to fill in all of those details that have ALREADY been filled in by someone else. It makes no sense that we have to re-do it every time. I wonder how many thousands of more reviews there would be if TER would just simplify this process?

Or maybe they leave it that way on purpose so you will buy a VIP membership. Worked on me.

If she has a commonly used name, there might be more than one profile showing.  You will then have to determine which one is the one you want to review.  When you get the right profile, click on submit a review on it.  Unfortunately, you do have to fill in all the boxes, the form does not come already filled out.  Everyone that writes a review feels like you do, but that's the way it is set up.  Her ID number will be on her profile under her name at the upper left hand corner of her profile.

If you are her first review, she will not yet have an ID number.  TER will assign her a number when approving your review.  It is easier to write the review if you have another window opened up showing her profile so you can copy the info onto your review.  As already mentioned, any changes you make in her information will not appear on her profile so you might as well just copy the old stuff.  Updates/changes can only be done via problem reports, either by you or her.

Many of us have been squawking about this for a long time, here (Newbie), General, Suggestion and Policy. It certainly cuts down on my reviewing.

As xyz23 mentioned, I've been including the TER ID in my general intro for a long time. The reason being, the guys at TER who review the reviews occasionally make mistakes trying to match up a name, URLs (ads), phone numbers or other reviewer info and often getting it wrong, assigning a review for "Mary" to the Profile of the wrong "Mary".

I was going to say that could NEVER happen with Amsterdam but there are actually 5 Profiles:

129682: you (Amsterdam, Euphoria, Kat)
150249: Julie Amsterdam. NOT YOU!
165493: you and Paige (doubles reviews get a separate Profile)
139573: you and Chloe (separate Profile for that double)
38219: an early Amsterdam based in Denver. Is that the original you???

So if we ever meet, I'd begin with "This is a review of Amsterdam TER ID 129682, ... " and, I hope, end with "I was expecting to meet Amsterdam and I ended up in Euphoria."

Thanks to those of you that posted useful replies.  I wasn't expecting to hear such disapointing feedback nor feedback that concerns me about the integrity of the reviews and the integrity of the provider's profile.  My key takeaway is that unless it's written in the text, one can't be sure that if a service is marked as NO (for example rimming), the provider does not in fact provide that service if not every reviewer's documentation is somehow factored (i.e., like in a scoring system "rimming=78% Yes").  Similarly, a YES may not reflect the most current service offering.

I imagine this site started in the days of more primitive web authoring tools and by now with the sheer volume of review data that has been accumulated, it would be difficult to migrate to a more sophisticated tool.  Overall, I think I still have faith in the value of reviews although the time it takes to compose them may keep me from being much of an author!

Thanks again folks.
