I understand that some providers have problems with people booking appointments and then not showing up and that this is one of the reasons that they require a reference and/or a deposit as part of their screening process. If the only issue is a deposit, how is this made without a credit card? How is the deposit generally made with a credit card anyways, over the phone? Before everyone jumps all over this topic calling me all kinds of bad names trying to hurt my feelings keep in mind that I am assuming that the provider does not want to be anywhere near the potential client until the screening process is completed. To confirm the obvious-yes, I have absolutely no experience with this sort of thing. Thank you.
I would be wary of giving deposits unless I was feeling charitable.....or unless it was a super well reviewed {5 pages minimum} TER lady... TER TER TER and only TER
If a lady requires a deposit, she doesn't need to see me, and I'll move on. I'm more than willing to put my personal information out there for her, and I'll put my money on the table when I arrive, but not before. I've read more than a few posts from guys who paid a deposit, and wished they hadn't.
There are times that a deposit can be legitimate. For example when you request a provider to travel from her home city to yours. She should, at the very least, get the value of her airfare in advance.
Of course, you should only make this kind of arrangement with someone who has excellent credentials.
I was only speaking of the donation for her time, but if I were to ask a lady to travel, of course I would expect to pay for her travel up front. Good Point.
