Screening question

Sometimes when I make initial contact with a provider, she asks me if I work for law enforcement.  That seems to be her only screening process. Doesn't seem like this is an accurate screen.  Is there a law stating that LE cannot state they are not LE?

No, LE can & DO lie. If you ask LE if they are law enforcement, affiliated with law enforcement, etc, etc, they can point-blank say no... this is a pointless question for either party to ask.. along with the "LE checK", lol.

Some believe that if LE were to lie, then that would be entrapment... which does not apply to a situation in which you are already engaged in illegal activity. Entrapment only exists if you are "lured" into a situation that you otherwise would have never been in.

if they couldn't lie with a straight face and a clear voice...   But if it makes the gal happy, i go along with it & hope she's done some further screening.

In my experience, screening can run from thorough to non-existent. I occasionally asked my references if they were ever contacted, and they would often say, "No."  OTOH, the Internet offers lots of creative ways for a lady to screen based on very little information. There is no single best way to screen. Every method has advantages and drawbacks.  I do feel more comfortable when a prospective date actually checks my information for accuracy.
