screening/LE, etc ... difference in USA and Canada

I'm a Canadian businessman who has been visiting escorts all over the world (but mostly Canada/London and less frequently USA) for the last 10 years.

Here in USA prostitution is illegal and underground. In Canada and the UK it is tolerated and publicly advertised.

I had an interesting encounter on a recent trip to DC .. A young and very hot looking provider from an apparently well established agency asked me to sign some kind of document! She said it was for her safety.

I refused for obvious reasons, gave her $50 and left. Is this normal procedure these days? I have seen several providers in DC and Philadelphia over the last couple of months .. most just ask for a photo ID but this was the first time someone asked me to sign a peice of paper.

I hate to be crude, but you should have done something else with that paper before handing it back to her, it was useless either way.
The smart providers would have screened your shorts off and satisfied themselves that you were legit before coming into a room with you.  The smart ones would even get more information to confirm you than even your driver's license.  But unfortunately, some providers are either too mis-informed or too lazy to institute strong screening procedures, so you see things like them trying to get you to sign a "waiver" being done.

1. Did you use a credit card?

2. And what did the document say?
