In terms of leaving a work number for a provider, what should I do if I am self-employed?

Thanks for any help.

via an email.

If you also have no references from other providers, then you better be prepared to write something very sweet and convincing.  Does your business have a website that you can refer them to as a sign of your sincerity?

You should probably give them your home phone and address as well in order to show good faith.

You might also want to stick with agencies since they are a bit more liberal with their policies.

I had to deal with this for a while, at a time that I had far fewer reviews.  Absent a website, you presumably have a company phone (even if it's a cell).  Do you have a business license or corporate paperwork?  All of those can be used to verify that John Smith owns Smith Co.  That, plus the explanation that mrfisher mentioned should be enough with lots of ladies.

Try a verification service such as RS2K or Datecheck.
