Screening

It appears to me that the screening method primarily contacts employers to make sure you are who you say you are. I am considering this, however I have a small problem. I am a consultant that is self-employed. I travel for a living and have no office outside of my home. My work number is my cell phone. So I am not sure how this could work. Has anyone ran into this? Thanks for the advice.

There are threads hear that have covered the issues of self employed or retired persons getting werified through the various services such as RS2K-P411-DateCheck. Check them out and I'm sure you'll get the information you need.

If your biz cannot be found on the net, if all you have is a brand new web page with a cell number or even worst no web page at all (btw social networking pages don't count at all I hate when people send me their link to LinkedIn or even worst facebook), if your name regarding your job cannot be found on the net linked to your email address... All I can say is: good luck... You'll end up with a lady who has no screening guide lines. If you travel to Canada or other countries for work that would be your best bet as it is not LE infested.

Yes that will be a start for sure but that alone isn't enough for a first date with someone who screens tight.

The thread to which chicagospliff refers is one I started called "successfully registering on p411" and, while I do hope it's helpful there are a couple of other points.  Yes, you can and should register on p411 or DateCheck and there are alternate ways to satisfy their screening needs.  But as some of the posters on that thread have pointed out, there are some risks with providing information like cell phone records, SS records, etc.  So take care in what you provide (on my license I masked off my picture and all but the last 4 digits of my license #). And, as sensualcleo points out, even getting registered will not, in and of itself, solve your problem.  First, you'll have to find a newbie-friendly provider.  But they are easy to find on p411 and are listed as such.  Even those providers, if they're good, will want additional screening info.  This also protects you from at least the most obvious LEOs.  Finally, after you've seen a couple of providers you can ask them to provide a reference (on p411 you "ask for an OK").  This puts you into their "Basic plus one" or Basic plus two" category, which will open up the rest of the provider list to you.  Clear sailing from there.  Sail safe!

To be sure, there will be ladies that will refuse to see you, but others won't.  Some will ask for info that you aren't willing to provide.  There are still others that DO screen that can get what they need from what you have to give.  Your mission grasshopper is to find one of those that also has the looks and skills you want at a price you're willing to pay.

I'm also a traveling consultant with a cell phone for an office #.  Wasn't always that way, but I'm still traceable and so are you.

It's not mission impossible at all, sorry to come across so harsh at times. I don't always mean to come out that way but I like direct answers without too much BS so I often feel like other people appreciate it too but in the end most people find it confrontational. Can't change my personality sorry!

I am not at all unfriendly to newbies; it will require a bit of work and it is very doable. However, after registering with those sites make sure when contacting ladies that you include as much info about yourself (without writing a long novel). We receive a lot of emails and we judge a person by the way they express themselves in that initial email most of us have developed a great radar and we only have our instincts to rely on no matter how many references you have (all bad experiences I have had the men had great references so I don't rely on ref only). Also when we receive a one liner saying: "Hey babe, You're hot! I'm Bob in Boston would like to see you today. Call me" it's not appealing. Of course I'm exaggerating so you get the picture I don't think you are that classless (but I get daily emails like that).

First describe yourself with relevant details. I need to get a mental picture of who is inquiring about meeting me so for me a good start is: full name, age, height and weight and ethnic background ( I do not discriminate on ethnic backgrounds it's just so I know who to expect at the door) and no sexual references or acronyms (of course I know it is again obvious but you'd be surprised of the kind of emails we receive) describe your situation as far as not having much traceable information. If your name regarding your job can be googled include the links. If you have a preferences about her dress code it is appropriate to mention it in the initial email. All pertinent information about who you are is always relevant even if we're not planing to get married:)

Good luck!!

Truth be told, your initial response was pretty realistic.  I just felt compelled to give the guy some hope.  I think that we agree that it's possible.  Not easy, but possible.

I sure didn't want to sound like there was no hope and he should give up:)
