Your best bet would be to privately ask some of the well established providers in your local area.  From past experience with this question, very few providers are going to answer it publicly.  Everyone has their own personal way of screening potential clients, and the methods are pretty much kept to themselves, each is slightly different.

for everybody's safety, it is best not to discuss specifics of screening on a board that can be read by anyone.

We'd like to keep undesirables guessing. A legitimate person with no ill intentions will readily be able to pass screening to his and the providers level of comfort.
