Sage Advice for Newbies in a Post SESHA / FOSTA World

Hey everyone,

So I'm a newbie thinking of taking the plunge. Unfortunately, with the recent SESHA / FOSTA bullcrap, I feel like I've picked one of the worst times to do so. Anyways, I've been doing a ton of research on this topic on my end, and appreciate much of what's been written here and in other places. As an aside, I especially love the definitions / abbreviations - it's all so hilarious to me.

But I digress; despite some wonderful advice already posted here and in other places, I can't help but feel that at least some of the older, conventional wisdom / policies & procedures may no longer apply, or at least is less relevant since late April?

So any newer advice, especially from an ASP's point of view, and longtime, experienced hobbyists who can put themselves in newbie shoes today, would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps there's something you wouldn't have done beforehand that, in the current climate you would at least consider doing now? Thanks in advance, and everyone take care.

Sincerely,
JoB

Nobody can take that away from you. It needs to be trained so use it often. Do not blindly follow "sage" advice. Nothing is 100% foolproof. Once you get used to doing your own thinking, you can always adapt to changing time.

My 2nd advice is to make as much money as you can. You won't get far without it.

but learning to spend it wisely is far more important.

No matter what your income level is, always go for value, and to determine value, learn what you really want, then learn how to obtain it efficiently.

There is no substitute for research, much of which can be done on here (or could when there was a lot more discussion going on.)
