Hello everyone, I'm new to the boards, sort of low key.  I just need to know about the screening process.  There are a lot of gentlemen who don't like that, some don't mind.  However, when I have asked for references, some won't oblige that, saying it is an infringement of the other providers' privacy.  What should I do?

Also, I've chatted with a few hobbyist in the TER lounge, but most are leary because I don't have any reviews.  I don't ask any of my clients to post them.  Maybe they want to remain low key themselves?  Could anyone offer any advice?

If they do not want to give references they can give you full screening info.  Either/Or, their choice.  Just a word of advice though... make sure you KNOW who you are getting references from.  Don't just take a blind reference and book.  Multiple or known ladies only!

I have NEVER met a gentleman who told me that providing references was an infringement of the provider's privacy.  I would make sure the gentleman knows this is a normal request between the ladies and further respond by sweetly suggesting that the gentleman should contact the provider to inquire as to her reference policies and to ensure that she remembers the gentleman.

References are a real and regular part of our safety network.  
What gentleman wouldn't understand that?!?

Run your business in the manner that makes your comfortable.  Personally, I think references suck.  I have a hard time getting in touch with many of the ladies of the trade.  I cannot imagine that it will be any easier for you to get a reference from them.  But do whatever works for you and be safe.

The gentleman who would not understand that is a man you should not see.

If a guy is unwilling to provide what you ask for, let hin walk. You should take Sola's advice, she gives consistently excellent advice and comes from the providing side of this business.
Do not end up regretful that you gave in to a guy that refused to provide you screening information, typically that will happen if you are arrested and end up in a room with a brute.
I always advise the quality ladies that I meet that have weak screens to strengthen them, some take that advice and some do not.

I totally agree with everything you guys have been telling me.  I haven't seen anyone without calling their work, of course discreetly.  I have their permission to call.  Also, there have been a lot of gentlemen that "drop out" so to speak when they email me.  I will respond by calling them back and asking them for their company name.  These aren't willing to give out this info, and I thank them and go to the next person.  But that is okay, because the people that have been giving me their information have been really cool, and have even scheduled with me again the following week.

For the appointments that I have lost, that doesn't worry me.  My safety and peace of mind does come first, that is my main concern, not missing out on a few dollars.
