Reviews, and duration between them ...

Ok. On another board, there are mixed opinions on whether you should, or should not, submit a review of a provider you have seen. IMO ... I write them if the session was enjoyable, it doesn't have to be spectacular, but good. I am providing a service to my fellow hobbyists, and providers, by being honest and not trying to make myself out to be the next great male porn star! (I do admit there are some reviews that seem like they were taken out of Penthouse Letters).

But I digress ... one that I am curious about is why a Provider can be listed in the Top 100 but she hasn't had a review in months? I saw one that had only two reviews this year (I believe they were May and June 2010, and prior to that it was like early 2009) but she was way up on the Top 100. There should be a Rule that you must have a recent review, ie in the last 30-days, to be listed in the Top 100, nationally or regionally.

Anyone agree? Disagree? I am open to being educated on reviewing principles.

IMO, I think there need to be:
 Recent reviews
 A minimum number of reviews
Maybe even a minimum number of the last period of time

Is a mathematical number derived by adding up the total of all of the provider's scores and dividing that number by her total number of reviews.  Much like a baseball player's bating average it will be higher when they have fewer at bats.  I've never looked at it as a useful tool in choosing who I might see. Frankly I don't see it as even being needed here.  A lady's reviews speak for themselves.  How she "compares" to others in a mathematical calculation tells me nothing.

As far as writing reviews goes, well, I write them, some others don't. Since I benefit from other folks reviewing the ladies I choose to see I feel that it's only fair to reciprocate. The whole "Penthouse Forum" approach is lost on me as well.  I rarely read a review all the way through if it is more than a few paragraphs or if the guy is more interested in talking about himself than he is about the lady he was with.

There are providers with only a few reviews that are top rated in some areas and at the same time they new providers. So a new one can get a few quick 10/10 reviews by unknown reviewers and viola! She's top rated.
There is no accounting for longevity. A provider with 200+ reviews over the course of 3 years with a 8.5 average can be rated under a new provider with only a few 10's.

The lists to me are more of a gimmick then anything of real substance.

I agree with the above assessment.  It makes no sense for someone with as few as 7,8, or 9 reviews to be rated over someone with dozens or more. There should be a minimum number of reviews to be on the Top 100 list and a high percentage of them should be recent.

It's just another aid in finding providers. As previous posted have stated, there are serious flaws to the list. For me, since I travel a lot, it's a good place to start to look for ladies in a city I have not hobbied in.  However, I'm more interested in the juicy details than the ranking a lady has.

It is based on a number rating system that is sometimes manipulate by some ladies refusing some guys that tend to rate harshly or ladies that threaten reviewers that rate them harshly. The numbers are completely subjective and one guy's 10 is anther guys 7. The way TER set up the performance number punish providers that play safer than some others even if the session was just as enjoyable as the less safe ones. The numbers are often inflated do to fear of offending the lady or trying to get favor with her. Reviewers also have been known to use reviews as weapons as well.

On top on the marginal usefulness of the numbers it is based on.  The reviews don't need to be currant so a lady can ask not to be reviewed after she is on the list. The sample size required to get on the list is way too small to be meaningful. There is not one for most places. In short I find the raking system is way to flawed to be useful in any way shape or form. But that is just my opinion.

number of reviews.

I have written reviews as a way to give back to my fellow hobbyists.  I benefit from those who write reviews so I think I should give back.  The 15 VIP days is not worth the time it takes to type in the profile information and write the review but again, it is a way of helping others.
