hello, brand new poster here.
just wondering: do i have to worry about fake reviews? i.e. fake accounts giving reviews just to boost a provider's cred. i recently e-mailed a couple providers, but something was a bit off-putting and i'm wondering if i can trust their reviewers/reviews or not.
thanks!
Given the sheer volume of incoming reviews, I think TER does a pretty good job of weeding out the fake ones.
The key when looking at reviews is to find consistency of services being provided and who is submitting them i.e does the hobbyist has a review history? how long has he been a member?
Also look at a provider's review history. Does she have several reviews going back a few months that are fairly consistent?
As far as emails go. Are you sure you did not ask questions which are explicit or considered no-no's? If you did, it would give them reason to be nervous or think you might be LE.
It is best to PM the reviewers if you need to clarify things about service etc rather than ask the provider directly in an email.
thanks for the reply, everyone. very helpful.
as far as that particular story:
i recently sent e-mails to a couple different providers. they seemed to be living in different areas, and only thing they really had in common was that they both seemed to be eastern european.
when i checked my e-mail, i got near identical responses (both in how it was typed and also with a "sent from iphone" signature, and both one minute apart from each other. this weirded me out so i sent a follow up question a few hours later as i figured it might be a coincidence and again i got e-mail responses less than a minute apart from each other.
my first e-mail i asked what the rates they offered. in the second one i asked if the services were newbie friendly. pretty much nothing more and nothing less. pretty sure those were as un-obtrusive as possible but i could be wrong.
anyway, yeah that freaked me out a bit so i was trying to figure out if something weird was going on behind the scenes.
There is a common scam where women / men masquerade as providers and request credit card numbers in exchange for contact information.
Since the providers you emailed had reviews, I don't think it is a scam.
My bet is the providers you emailed are part of an agency and the person responding was their agent / pimp which explains the similar responses only a minute a part.
Since you are new I would recommend going with a lady that has multiple reviews here or on other sites.I would look to see who reviewed her and if they have posted other reviews of other ladies. If the reviews are by guys that only wrote those reviews and no others I probably would be leery if I was a gentleman. Also,I would search the ladies phone numbers,email,and/or their names and see if any reviews pop up on other sites.Or you could also ask them if they have reviews posted somewhere elese. Also,if you have VIP and are able to read the reviews I would suggest contacting some of the reviewers if you are in a question if the ladies reviews are real or not.
Good luck to you and have a good time!
Some reviews are probably fake. Some are easy to spot, others are not. But how many? Doubt anyone knows.
The bigger issue is that all reviews are subjective. I've seen providers I've had a great time with but others have seen and had a poor time with. Looks are subjective, chemistry is subjective. Quality of performance is subjective. I think her nose is too big and grade her down a point on looks. You think that nose is regal and giver an extra point. I thought her BBBJ was too fast, you thought it was just right. Don't put your faith in any single data point or review. Look at the whole body of work and see whatthe pattern is.
It is the totality of the reviews that counts, not just one. For a reviewer, one review, 10/10, that is pretty iffy, 5 reviews, one every three to four months, all very high, makes me wonder. But like I said, I am not smart enough to think I can catch a fake that fooled TER, so I look for a bunch of believable reviews, not one or two.
There are actually lots of other ways to screen providers, I am beginning to learn, as was noted above - other sites, questions you can ask (yes, you can tell the provider you need to screen her, too), lots of things. But that is not a newbie item, probably not even something to be discussed in a public board.

I have found the reviews here to be very accurate. I have been doing this a few years now and I cant remember a time that a review was not accurate. I have not really tried any other review sites, but my experience here has been pretty good. I do look at how many reviews a lady has. If she does not have many, I look at the last few reviewers to see how many they have written. The more reviews someone has written the more comfortable I am that it is accurate.
After years of asking that same question I use a tried and true method. Throw out the high score, a shill possibly, and throw out the low score, a dick head possibly, and read the rest. Also never be afraid of simply asking the lady if in her opinion, are her reviews accurate? Without asking about specific activities or pricing for additional activities ask her to read her profile and some of her reviews and tell you if they are accurate. An honest provider will tell you and a dishonest one will reveal her dishonesty during the process and you can simply move along and seek one of the numerous lovelies "here" that are a pleasure to be with.
Just an old, ugly, fat fuck with an opinion
Have fun!
The very first review can be suspect IMHO. I agree that if there is a highest or lowest, they can likely be discounted (unless lowest is last). Read ANY low reviews & see WHY. There is often enouogh info in the details to reveal why.
I look for consistancy. Wide swings make me think
1) the lady only does well with those she clicks with... and face it I'm not stud anymore.
2) she's moody
I can live with 1 low review per PAGE of reviews... especially if there's a explanation in the review. I expect to see a slight variation because each unique pairing is unique. If I reviewed my ATF each meeting would be different. But I still look for consistancy, usually a 1 number range 7-8 or 8-9. Interestingly the range seems of lesser importance so long as they are all 7+.
You should look for a well reviewed provider... 8 or more reviews & several by reviewers with multiple reviews.
This has worked for me,
skb
skb has it dead right. In addition, there are other ways reviews can be screwed with. Here are two that I've been made aware of. First, because TER compensates reviewers with VIP status there's an incentive to review. This can lead to someone lifting a review from another site, whether he's seen the girl or not. So, while the review may be accurate, it's not his. Second, providers like to maintain consistent high ratings, so they will lobby reviewers for them and even go after guys who haven't graded them the way they like. I have no idea how to solve either problem except by being honest and ferreting out the bad reviews as you become aware of them.
I meet a provider with three excellent reviews.
The provider had total fake photos posted , still does the same.- Totally different girl and at least 30 years older.
The provider laughed her ass off saying how three of her past clients/friends wrote friendly reviews for her.
