Hi,Im in england and hope to visit US later this year, and book an appointment with a couple of girls from bodymiracle or xxxvixons. Obviously these are fairly expensive appointments.

However when I look at the booking form I'm just shocked at the level of personal information that is required - name, address, credit card number and expiry date, occupation, employer, date of birth etc. Havent you guys heard of identity theft?!!!!

In England providers that insisted upon this type of information would just go out of business. In england its just not normal to have to give these details or produce ID. I have NEVER given my real name, credit card details or produced ID. I've always paid cash, even for very expensive appointments. Its just the way things are done here. And after all I am the CUSTOMER.

Am I just being paranoid? But it all seems so strange and I really cant see the point of it.

...you'd be a dumbass to give out your credit card info.  But some dumbass will do it and there's always $$$$$ to be made off of dumbasses.  Like I've always said, "Pussy makes the world go round, and dumbasses make many a cash register ring".  Give these people some credit for putting the two together. (LOL)

I assume you don't give your information to anyone online or off then?

I mean you wouldn't be insinuating that someone in this business is more inclined to steal your identity than say the a waiter working for less than minimum wage that you hand your credit card to be scanned to pay for a dinner...or a guy doing data entry and customer service work in a training program where the toll free number you call goes to a call center in a prison, right? or the guy that coded the nice online store you want to purchase something from never wrote a little file to collect all the information you type in?

There are threats to your privacy and identity everywhere, it amazes me those people trust without thinking of it and those people decide are of a greater risk.

Yes, these places could steal your identity, just like the folks mentioned above, and the person that collects your refuse can find an unshredded envelope with enough information to do the same, or a hospital can get rid of old computers without "shredding" the information on a hard drive and someone dumpster diving can have all kinds of information on you.

Your assumption seems to be that the agencies you mentioned would risk their lucrative business in the long term for the short term gains of identity theft...which doesn't even take into consideration the difference in criminal charges for each (the identity theft being a much more serious crime, carrying a much stiffer penalty).

Now, my free advice, and worth every penny, is do what you are comfotable with.  if you aren't comfortable giving out that information...don't.
It is your perogative to share only what you wish, but with that comes a limitation of being able to see the ladies you wish to see.  If you want to see ladies from either of those two companies then you need to figure out which you want more, to keep your information to yourself or to see the ladies...but you shouldn't endeavor to change the way either company conducts its business, and mentions of "in England..." are all good and well, but if you like how it is done in England and not how it is done in the US then perhaps it is wisest to stick to hobbying in England.

If you do decide you want the ladies more than your information, I would suggest trying to find out what you can about each agency, from clients that have used each, and make sure they are worth the price and that you will in fact get what you are paying for before giving out anything. I personly know nothing about either, so can offer no insight specific to these agencies.

As to you point of never showing an ID or giving your real name and such, and the assertation you are the customer, true enough...you are the customer...and like any business in this one the business can request from you information that you are not privy to about the business...kind of like you don't know the license plate number of your mechanics car, your doctor's insurance number, your  accountants income, etc.

Generally, any information requested is wanted in an effort to keep the ladies safe, from both legal ramifications and threats to their safety...come on you should understand that I mean England had the most famous psycho in history when it comes to attacks on ladies in this business. *smirk*

If you can find for yourself, in the US, a situation where the lady / agency takes all of the risk while you are completely insulated from even your name being known, congratulations, but remember when the agency or lady doesn't screen you, they don't screen anyone else either, and that can include LE that will set up sting as you walk through the door, or a psycho that just did something terrible to her right before you knock...

Oh, and just to add to your fears a bit...as far as identity theft goes in the right hands something as seemingly innocuous as your license plate number, or phone number can be enough to do that. *smirk*

Best of luck, and I hope your time in the US is enjoyable.

I'm an American living in England, and enjoying the much, much, much, more relaxed laws regarding prostitution here.

It is not uncommon for both indies and agencies to ask new clients to fill out a web form providing much of the personal information you mention, except credit card details.  They do this for ID verification, not ID theft.  One never knows when the local law enforcement agency will decide to "do something about prostitution!"  Often times when they do, the cops e-mail ladies to set up an appointment.  The ladies are justifiably careful.  This verification system isn't fool-proof, but it does provide the lady some confidence if you say you are Joe Blow living at 123 xyz street, and work for abc corp, and she opens the phone directory and finds, yes there is a Joe Blow at 123 xyz street, or calls abc corp asking for Joe Blow, and is transferred to you.  Remember, in all of the US, except all but 2 counties of Nevada, prostitution is illegal in every circumstance!!!

If you are uncomfortable providing this detail, I'd suggest that you schedule some time with a British lady, who is known in the US and knows how things work there (Carrie of London springs to mind), prior to your trip, and ask her for a reference.  A provider reference frequently replaces the need for exposing alot of personal info.

Now asking for credit card information is unusual, but you are looking at a couple of unusual agencies!!!  They arrange visits with pornstars!!!  Believe me, you will either pre-pay for the visit, or at least put down a substantial, non-refundable deposit.  They are just making sure that you are serious, and may process an authorization to ensure that you are good for the money.

After you surrender to our screening process and before you make your agency decision go to the Atlanta boards and do a search on xxxvixens. They are banned from TER so Im not even sure if we are allowed to mention them. They were banned for self reviewing.

First off I would avoid both the agencies you mentioned, As PT mentioned XXXvixons/Atlantaheat has been delisted here for self reviews, Body Miracle does not have much better a reputation.

My advice is to do your homework, buy a VIP membership if you don't already have one. There are many reputable agencies and Independents here in Atlanta. I hope you enjoy your stay. As has been said here repeatedly "Information Rules"

Yes unfortunately in the land of the Free and the Brave the original puritan cant that founded this nation has proliferated into a fascist Right Wing that owns our President along with scuttling individual freedom & privacy along with incessantly legislating morality. Hence; it now requires picture ID to enter Toys-R-Us.

Asking for your DL, CC or SS numbers is a little over the top for a an independent provider OR an agency. Name, telephone #, employer and employer phone number however are standard operating procedure.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I take on board your points about the legal issues, maybe the agencies and providers are just trying to protect themselves. Maybe its just a different way of doing business to reflect the legal issues. Will take a bit of getting used to though! Thanks again for the advice.

That's a lame answer.  As a citizen from a socially more advanced country, you should use this opportunity to laugh at American men for having allowed people and organizations (e.g. the WCTU) to do this to them.  They (in general, not the ones on this board) are pretty much as pussy-whipped by their prostitute-hating families and wives as it gets.  And amazingly, many of them think they have the most freedom in the world.  Too bad, the US could have been a great, truly free country.
