With a bbbj is it cim that could give you a std? or are there other risks?

service. There is risk in what we do at every level. You appear to be excessively concerned about getting an STD from a BBBJ or DFK. I suggest that you do neither and seek out providers that do not offer such services, there are many available.

I'm not so concerned with dfk for std's it's just I feel akward doing it even with a girl friend.  The provider I'm seeing tomorrow offers both dkf and bbbj.  I had a nice conversation with her on the phone we both seemed confortable talking to each so, I'm going to wait and see what I feel like tommorrow although, I'll probably ask for a hj or cbj.  Who knows I might like her enough to let her do a bbbj.  She doesn't allow cim thats a plus in my book. As far as kissing, I'll for that without tounge. Not sure yet if I'll daty but, It's still s possibility.

One of the threads about someone catching a std from a provider looks to be fake. At least thats what some people are saying. The thread in question is on the Vegas board.  Not throwing caution to the wind because it could still happen but, I won't be so parinod anymore. I'll Take the precautions I feel I need to take. I'll also relax enough to have a good time when I'm with a provider.I'm very excited about meeting a very well reviwed provider later in the day.

If you can't live with that you don't need to be in the hobby

I don't think there is too much risk to you getting a serious STD from a BBBJ, but I could be wrong on that.  There is much more risk for her if she allows CIM, with more if she consumes it and less if she spits.  If she doesn't CIM, I don't see how a BBBJ is significantly more risky than a CBJ.

Personally, I love BBBJ and I would be somewhat hesitant to see a provider that did not offer them.  In fact, my next provider will be someone that offer CIM and finish me off good and proper.  I don't think the risk is that high, but I understand the concern.  Many men are scared to DATY on many providers, but the medical information suggests there is really little risk in doing so, except for herpes during an outbreak which should be visible.  My policy is if it looks healthy, eat up.  I love DATY and BBBJ to the point I can't imagine a session without them.

Anyhow, I think the greatest added risk with BBBJ is that it increases her chance of an STD.  This would impact you more on the FS aspect.  You're always at greater risk during FS with a provider that offers a greater menu, due to more chances of exposure.  Anyway, cover up good and you'll likely be fine.  I'm new to the hobby, but STDs are the least of my worries.  Sure, if I get the point where I have been with several hundred providers or more, I'll be a little concerned and get checked out, but I can't afford to hobby as much as I'd like.

I have done an extensive amount of research on STD transmission from oral sex and the info is fairly nebulous.  All in all though my findings are:

The main concern is herpes, but
1) Oral herpes (HSV 1) CAN be spread to the genitals, but this is uncommon, as "genital herpes" (HSV 2) is responsible for 70-80% of genital lesions.  HSV 2 can similarly be spread to the mouth but with the same rarity.

2) It was long believed that herpes sores had to be present to spread the virus but there have been (rare?) documented cases of "asymptomatic shedding" in which the virus is spread with no symptoms present.  This seems to be a bit of a scare tactic these days, however, as I can find no hard numbers and have been assured by a doctor and a friend of mine in his medical school residency that the risk is almost negligable.

3) Male to female transmission is always more difficult.  Think about it.  You have very little exposed tissue in your penis, as opposed to a woman's vagina or a mouth which is nothing but vulnerable mucosal tissue.

In any event, if you're really paranoid (which i am) use a rubber even for a bj.  While the risk doesnt seem too high, I was mostly investigating in the sense of a non-provider.  Obviously a provider who does BBBJ is going to be at a higher risk of having something than a chick from work whos given 4 guys head.  Hope I've been helpful.

[except for herpes during an outbreak which should be visible.]
It should be but it isn't. I talked to a few people who have herpes and that is why I no longer do BBBJs. Two women got it from their boyfriends that way. The women aren't providers by the way.

It is true that women are more susceptible to getting an STD than men.  However, someone has to give it to the men who are in turn infecting women.  Chicken and the egg.
I should hope that if you are participating in the hobby that you get tested at least every 3-6 month (probably before you see hundreds of providers), so that you do not give anything to the providers you see, who could in turn give something to your fellow TER buddies.  Most STDs are treatable, so knowing is better than not.
