You got "it."  What is "it?"  That info won't get you a lot of help!

FWIW, I have dined at plenty of Ys and have never had "it" or any other STD.

OK,OK.  I got the big G  old Gonzo himself. also had his friend clyma along with him....took penicillin but it came back...finally cipro got rid of it...
SO....any and all of you guys who do DATY didn't have any trouble?  I have had a few DATYs that were OK.  This was a massage parlor gal in LosAngeles area.  Best lay I ever had except for that!!

From what I understand both of those are "extremely rare" to get in your mouth (oral?)? How were the symptoms different than what one gets typically in the penis?

well if you really want to do it, you can reduce the risk by thoroughly rinsing your mouth and showering immediately after.

but that's only to reduce the risk, it won't eliminate it.

I was wondering about this also. I know most STDs don't transmit well orally, and many are curable with antibiotics -- except herpes. Is there a larger-than normal incidence of herpes within the community?

I'm not aware of the incidence level in this community, but attached is a link to what I think is one of the more reliable websites on STD's. Folks post all kinds of conditions they think are related to STD's, and the doctor aptly calms many irrational fears etc.

I suspect this post to be one of the many bogus LOOKOUT FOR STD's posts on TER often found on the national boards.  These two STDs are very difficult to contract by mouth and are never treated with penicillin (which is not "taken" but injected) Cipro and Azithromycin are the drugs of first choice for these two diseases taken orally in one dose. Highly unlikely this person was treated by a doctor for these STD's unless he is just confused about his treatment.

well I guess you can think this is a scam if you want to.  But I was the one that had it and it was HARD to get rid of. You certainly can get penicillin in tablet form.  Hell no, I didn't go to a DR!  I didn't want my name to show up in CDC files!.. I researched the problem in medical journals and used my PDR to find what should cure it!  Cipro did the trick. but it was pretty new back then.  Went to Mexico to get antibiotics to fix the problem!

Hi all:) I just asked this question myself (sse my thread)  because getting diseases of the throat are way more common now than people think these days. So NO this is not a scam or a lie!!! See this for example:liehttp://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Archive/Hepatitis/Q9239.qna. I know us men don't like to think of this risk, but get real guys, educate and protect yourselves!!! In fact if anything, this link states your facts exactly. I'm in the same situation you are wanting it but,not the risk or STD,so I say don't do it. The people that responded to my question said to ask the provider for a current clean test (and vice versa) but needless to say,the throat catagory is not a common place tested,so how is that suppossed to help??? Just to much risk for me in todays world to go BB in way.
