Screening the callers

hi, am new after a couple years off and would like to hear what type of questions or emails, the providers use to screen and also do they meet them the first time at their door, parking lot of where they live, or at a nearby cafe? I had a successful system before and never really had any dishonest guys or even LE but would like to see what is the normal trend. Back then, most guys called from their office and today with all the cell phone useage...I am a bit concerned as i also like to know something about the guys background and job before letting him come to my house. thanks, jenni     ski_fun99 at yahoo....

Jenn: Like I said on the main discussion board, I always call a new provider from home and give my full name and phone number along with were I work. Furthermore, I always send an e-mail to tell her a little about me just as long as it is not too personal. What I refuse to give out is references of other past providers. I do not want to bother them with my personal life an theirs.

Never call back to a cell phone to finalize an appointment.  It is ok to contact the person through a cellphone but you should not agree to anything, ASK for a company exchange number (note, this is NOT the person's extension). The best way to confirm is to get a landline exchange number at the person's place of employment.  You should choose the time that you call, not the person that you are trying to confirm.  Exchange numbers should always lead you to a person or voicemail that states the company name then allows you to find the person that you are looking for - the exchange makes it difficult for someone to trick you, especially if you call at the time of your choosing.  If a person is unwilling to have you verify through a work exchange then walk away, you will be better off long term.  The toughest verifications that I have had used the exchange method and called at the time of their pleasing, in the end it was safer for them and safer for me.  When calling through an exchange you need to be discreet, you may have worked out something that would be said before hand with the person that you are verifying.

Hi Jenn-

I'm a provider.  If they are staying at a hotel, call the hotel and ask for the guest by name.  The hotel will require a credit card and an ID to register.  Also ask to see a photo id when you arrive.  If it's a residence make sure their number and name they give you is listed and matches up.  If not, you need to ask for more info..work phone, etc.
Good Luck
