Ask her to show you her ID. Then show her yours. Undercovers id never show in the data base anyway. Who's data base you thinking there using {COPS}. Thats to much info. There are tons amps that only ask $.5 and the service is alot better.

Ok,
I am new at this and have not yet been with a provider. I know many providers would like to know some info about you for verification and to ensure their own safety. But what is considered normal or too much??   I am very interested in a provider who has AWESOME reviews in TER, but in order to schedule an appointment I would have to email her a detailed, long list of my personal info from type of job, my position in the company, home address, home phone#, business phone # etc... everything except my SSN and my mother's maiden name...  Is this normal??? (see link below).

My level of comfort is just give them my cell phone # and my real name. Is that not enough? Must I disclose more than that??

I even have the same type of screening form, which many ladies do. Some ladies require the same type of info, but in an email. We ladies just want to make sure that you are NOT LE. If you can prove that you are not, that's great, lets make an appt. If not, then you should move on to someone who does very little screening or none at all. Screening is something that is not new to the business, and I dont' really see it leaving the business at all.

I can certainly understand their need to be LE-conscious.  Can't fault them for that.

However, for myself, I'm careful about giving too much about myself.  On the flip, you worry that what happens if SHE gets busted.  And to be paranoid, what if she's involved in more nefarious things and LE goes through her files and rounds up her former clients.  Also, (believe me, this can happen), what happens if she wants to later blackmail you.

I've been with enough providers who are lenient enough.  I don't want them to be too lenient, so they can properly protect themselves, but there are enough providers who aren't nearly as tough.  In fact, I find all requirements you mention too be a lot more stringent than any I've run across.

The better providers are interested in your personal information to ensure you're not LE and that you're not about to climb a bell tower with a high-powered rifle.  Most dump your data as soon as you've had your appointment.  I know that Tiffany, the lady who lives with me, dumps her clients' personal data shortly after the meeting.  She uses a separate computer for work, and routinely (using an overnight script) wipes the data per DOD Spec 5220.22-M.

While the possibility of blackmail and other nefarious activities exist, if you stay with the well-reviewed providers, you should be fine.

Point well taken that a well reviewed provider is not likely to keep your confidential personal information.

However --- and this may just be me --- I like to play it safe, especially with information I release and no longer have control of later.  Heidi Fleiss providers back in the day were reputable among well-heeled hobbyists, but you know about 'the little black book' that the feds had access to.

Also -- not to be overly paranoid --- but the small act of even having a phone log of your business (good business people will keep logs) can later implicate you.

Just my .02.

I completely understand the need for verification.  It is important for the person's safety.

However, use your best judgement and comfort level as to what info to give out.  For example, I WILL NOT give out my work number for any reason.  I had a bad experience.  Some people require such information.  I simply see someone else.

I'm with you on that!

Nor my home number.  Hey, what happens if she calls to verify and your aunt (or somebody else close) picks up.  OK, one can argue that a well-reviewed provider will be discreet, but I don't trust anybody on such things.

I give my cell phone only.  But even with that, there's risk.  There was this one (formerly good) provider who kept trying to call me even after I told her not to.  Bad news!

What would be the difference in finding 'a lil black book' so to speak, or LE getting your Ip address or billing info from a site such a site as this, where you openly admit 'wrong doing'? Wouldnt that get the provider as well as yourself in cahoots with your local LE?

Neither is readily prosecutable.  Just finding your name in a providers "lil black book" is not a felony or even a misdemeanor.  Oh, LE may make your life a living hell pursuing you and making allegations of wrongdoing, but in the end they have no evidence whatsoever of any criminal activity.

The same goes for posts here.  It is not illegal in any way to post stories of sexual escapades.  Just posting your review with details doesn't give LE any grounds for a case against you.  As above, LE has no evidence of any illegal activities, or that ultimately YOU posted the review.

comfort level in the screening process..  You must also have a comfort level in info you will allow ... The best way I have found is to e mail a lady and tell them that you are very interested, very new, and give them the info that you feel comfortable in giving .... build a rapport with the person first ... then ask if you can call and discuss further over the phone .... again only give what you feel comfortable with .... there are so many ladies .. you may have to try more than once ... good luck .. hobby safe hobby well hobby all you can be ...

If she is well reviewed and people who have seen her do not point out any thing bad about her, like she appears strange or hangs on to their information after the session, then you have nothing to worry about in giving the information that she asked for.
As pointed out, very good providers will dispose of the information as soon as they have confirmed that you are who you say you are.  If that is before the session, they may show up with only your first name remembered, that is better than calling you "hey you".

Like you say, there are many other options out there.  It's a buyer's market, so to speak.

One provider was asking for a lot of info.  And part of her system involved me going to her apartment complex where the security guard views your driver's license and copies down the info (which she later has access to).  Moreover, your information is permanently on the log.

I cancelled that appointment.
