I am looking to make my first appointment in the near future in NYC [edited], but both require references or a phone number of an employer. I dont have either of those. Is there anything else I can give that could still get me an appointment?

Thanks

You could get registered with a "Reference Service" such as Date-Check or Room Service 2000.  Another option is to see a lady from an agency (often agencies don't require references) then maybe the agency can give you a reference.

Try being honest, I was in the same boat, work from home and had never seen a provider before.  But I gave what info I could, used my real email address (no free service) and was willing to offer what ever more info she wished. You might need to try a couple of providers till you get an ok. But the most important thing is to be honest..

get registered with Date Check or similar service.
But do not give up on trying with the provider you would actually like to see - send her as much info as you can, and be PATIENT - time will tell, she may well decide you are ok to be seen.

Talk to the Lady(preferably on the phone).  Most ladies have an alternative way of checking you out if you can not provide them with what they initially ask for.  Communication is the key.

Don't those sites require you to give employement information and credit card information in order to verify you?
