I'm about to give up. Most of my reviews (each of which took about a half hour to write) have been "unapproved" for reasons I can't figure.
Short of more flowery prose, I can't think of what I could put in to make them more "approvable."
In some cases, the purported reasons for disapproval are inapplicable (e.g., that the provider's name didn't match up with the name in the web site (it did)).
The unapproved posts contained lots of useful information. For example, One was for a provider who was not previously approved. The pictures weren't her, but I gave a good accurate description of the provider and the services she provided.
I'm not going to waste my time writing useful reviews that never see the light of day. No point in TOFTT... and then having the "editors" prevent you from reading it.
If the editors want to take a look at my reviews and reconsider, that's fine. Otherwise, I'm done... we can all keep making the same mistakes without the ability to share information unless we write in the style TER editors want to see.
I don't find it that hard. Yes, in the beginning it was difficult and I had a few reviews rejected. Your comment "write in the style TER editors want to see" is the key to your post. It's ter's sandbox, they make the rules, and almost 650k have been approved. so it can't really be that hard.
FWIW, my three reviews (to date) were written once, submitted and approved within 3 days each. If you read enough reviews and get a sense of the "house style" that TER wants, it should give you some direction in the writing of yours. Fit the facts to the style and you should see smooth sailing.
At the risk of sounding like a smart-ass, if you can't figure out which board to post on how do we know that you are able to follow proper review protocol?
you can send a message asking for greater clarification, or stating that your review is consistent with the reason for rejection given. It takes a while, but usually you get a response.
In contrast to BG, since you only currently have a couple of reviews, and seem to be encountering this problem, I see nothing wrong with posting to the newbie board. But being a relative newbie, are you sure you are ready to be TOFTT anyway? Perhaps that should wait until you are more seasoned. (Unless you are just newbie to TER and well seasoned before getting here.)
