In addition to the advice already given, here are some other reasons that you may not have gotten a response from a lady....
My first piece of advice is to thoroughly read her "contact" section. Some ladies prefer e-mail only contact from gentlemen they have not met before. Others have no preference.
If you call me and leave a voicemail, I will return your call if I get the message shortly after you've left it. However, if an hour or more has passed since you left the message, I won't return your call at that point. This is not to be rude, but rather for the sake of your discretion. Ten minutes after you've left a message for me, I can reasonably assume you are in a position to speak freely with me. However, an hour later, I have no idea if you might be in a meeting with your boss, or sitting in the car next to your SO. So to avoid causing you to have to answer awkward questions, I won't call you. So, if you leave a message for a lady and don't hear back from her in a few hours, try calling again.
If you have contacted me by e-mail, I will generally respond as soon as I get it. I will respond much more quickly though, if your e-mail contains a specific time that you would like to meet. Something along the lines of "Would you be available this Friday in the afternoon?" Simply stating "I would like to meet you, how do I set up an appointment?" Tends to not get much of an enthusiastic response from me. The important information a provider is looking for when you contact her is 1. References, or lack of 2. Preference for incall or outcall 3. When you would like to see her. If you didn't include these three things, your e-mail may not get a response at all, or may not get a quick response.
