Newbie - FAQ
The recommendations below are for major city hobbying
--Try to establish yourself as a legit hobbyist to you local "community" if one exists.
--Pay for a VIP TER Membership so you can send and receive PMs. If you have a regional TER board for your city, post regularly and become known so you can "ask for 411" i.e. ask for information on specific providers you see ads for and ask for recommendations.
--Get yourself cleared with DateCheck or similar service, so you can pass provider screening. Then try to attend Meet & Greets in your area.
--Other's disagree but for myself, I NEVER USE AN AGENCY, due to the added risk of LE focusing on criminal enterprises, and the agency's record keeping. (Don't believe they don't keep records) I won't go into detail, just suffice it to say that I have been fortunate enough to gain some insight via personal experience that is somewhat rare in the hobby.
Here are some specific techniques.
--Use google frequently. Google a provider's phone number. Google her name along with the word escort. See what you find.
--Ads but no reviews? Google 'em. Well, if you find many hits and/or hits from various websites and/or over a period of time, you can be much more confident that this is not LE postings that is not how undercover works. They Change their ads post-sting and vary them to continue to lure more people in. So, a strong web presence to a lady points that is more likely legit.
--BP/CL ads : Watch ads over time. Scam artists, cash & dash, etc. must change up their ads frequently. Again consistancy in ads over a period of time is usually a good sign.
--BP/CL ads : Stick with local phone numbers. Circuit girls are always a TOFTT situation, which may be OK, but they are also highly pimped which is not. Avoid the pimp. 
--AGE : Watch out for the teens (18/19) as it is not so uncommon that they are under 18. Don't go there. Even if they lie to you, you will still be committing a serious felony. You don't want to be a sex offender for the rest of your life.
--AGE : Even if you are not a milf chaser, consider the more mature providers. They are often much better than theri younger counterparts--but we are talking safety here. LE typically uses female officers that appear to be late 20s early 30's.
--GENERAL : Use some common sense and instincts. You know if you have street smarts or not. If you don't (maybe just a suburban family guy, who has never run the streets?) them be cautious with yourself because thinking with your little head is dangerous. In that case stick with reviewed ladies.
-- COMMUNICATION : When you call, simply say " Hello, my name in ______. I'm interested in spending time with you. Are you available for an hour at 8PM tonight?" just make the appointment and ask for or give directions.
DO NOT talk about sex
DO NOT talk about money
DO NOT get flirty and cute
If the lady starts asking leading questions like "What are you looking for?" or "Did you see my ad on CL?" Just hang up and move on.
The same goes when you meet. Until you are hot and heavy into it don't talk about sex. If she greats you at the door and give you a serious DKF, go ahead and start touching her sexually, its a good sign. But remember the "LE CHECK" of touching or the question "Are you a police officer?" are of no value or protection what so ever.
LE Stings are usually incall they set up at hotels, or survelance and arrest at real provider's incalls (which are usually larger agency incalls or BP/CL pimped circuit girls wher a complaint has been made.
If you have other straight forward questiions just post them. I personally think the "What about this hypothetical scenario" questions that get posted are of little value.

You are wasting your time asking about scenarios.
There will be good advice on what to do TO AVOID CONTACT WITH LE. But frankly, I doubt there are more that one or two guys IF ANY, that have ever worked with LE in some manner and have first hand knowledge of there undercover processes.
