E-mailed provider I wanted a date with, and mentioned she had great reviews on TER and was looking forward to the same experience that the others had. The response was "DO not e-mail me again". To be perfectly clear, all I said other then that was the length of session and appox. time I was looking to make the appt for. Did I cross the line some how, or is this provider just extremely sensitive? I didn't think I was doing anything wrong, but maybe this is another one of those obscure ettiquette issues. Opinions?

Wow!!!!! not sure my friend ... I don't think you did anything wrong ..unless you have a strike against you with someone that she knows .. maybe the "looking forward to the same experience that the others had" she may have a review she doesn't like and thought you were refering to it .... or maybe she had to sleep on the wet spot ... hasn't had her coffee yet .... or it's that time of the month .... time to move on to the next lady ... good luck

She could have had a bad experience with someone who read her reviews, and then expected more of her than she was willing to give.  YMMV, so she may not feel as comfortable with one client as she is with another.  In that case she is less likely to engage in activities that previous clients could have included in their post.

She shouldn't have a problem with you telling her that you found her profile here.  If she does, keep on looking!

The lady may NOT want to legitimize fantasy reviews.  One LE tactic is to get you to verbally agree that your reviews are actually true.

BINGO!  She told newbiedoobydoo (love the alias btw) to stay away just in case he was LE!  He should not have mentioned anything about her reviews.  I'm surprised it took 4 replies to get it.

Sola and jjackflash may be right.  I've said that I've read reviews, but I've never said I expected anything.  Maybe she WAS suspicious because of your wording.  From her point of view, maybe she was just being cautious.

Or maybe things were mentioned in the reviews that she doesn't do, and she has been pressured to do them by guys who read the reviews.  There are a few fake reviews floating around out there.

All of the providers I've seen have several pages of reviews and are comfortable with being on TER.  A few post occassionally.  A couple have even asked for my handle during screening.  One would only finalize the appointment after receiving a PM confirmation from me.

Typical stuff. DFK,CBJ,cg,mish,doggie, nothing more and nothing less, so I can't see her being upset with regard to the content of them. I can understand the concern about LE, even though this site's disclaimer states "fictional accounts". I don't see how simply sending a response like, "that will be fine," ph# or address etc.., would in any way imply that the reviews were real. Bringing up her reviews was actually just what I thought would be a clever way to ask her if the FS menu would be all inclusive for the rate she listed. Perhaps it was simply the way I worded it?

you shouldn't have to ask quesstions like that.  Any discussion of activities will make a lady uncomfortable, and this is clearly what you were trying to do.  Don't!  See if you get a better response.

Why do people write them, and why do people read them?  Of what use are they?

Reviews are to be most importantly Honest ..we must remember to keep our ego's in check and that it's not a competition to who can out write who ... the info is to be used so that you can pick and choose a provider wisely that meets your needs and price range .... A review should only be used as background info. Reviews are meant to be written for the hobbyist by a hobbyist and not to be written to gain favor from a provider ... hope this clears the water a little bit for you ....
