I find it easiest to place an unsealed envelope in plain view on a table the 1st chance I get after entering her place (or having it available, in similar manner, before she enters the room for a visit to my place). Haven't had any problems so far.

The lady was so sweet when I got there (she knew it was my first time), and she offered me something to drink - when she came back with the drink I laid the envelope on her TV cabinet and I heard her sort of whisper a very quiet "Thank you" - it was almost like she was coaching me.
