I have seen a couple of posts that request contact to be initiated by anonymous cell phone text. I have searched online about this and I haven't seen anything about it. Could someone explain how it is done? Also, if you know, how is it anonymous? I would think there is a log somewhere that your (SMS) provider would have of who sent the message and who to send it to.

This sounds more like some kind of scam or LE trick.  What do you all think? Thank you in advance for your input.

It is a scam to bill you 99 cents a minute for the message. Forget it.

When you send a message to for example 22428, you pay 99 cents a message for each and every message.  There is no actual chance to meet anybody...
